The London Acorn School
About the Business
Welcome to The London Acorn School, a point of interest and primary school nestled in the beautiful streets of London. Our establishment is located at Morden Hall Rd, London SM4 5JD, in the heart of one of the world's most vibrant cities. Founded in 2012, we provide a unique approach to education that is not only focused on academic excellence but also on developing character, creativity and resilience in our students.
At The London Acorn School, we believe in nurturing children's curiosity and natural talents in a supportive and challenging environment. Our approach is inspired by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf education. We offer a comprehensive curriculum that covers all the core subjects, as well as art, music, drama, movement and foreign languages. Our aim is to provide a broad and balanced education that helps students to develop a love for learning, a strong sense of self, and the skills they need to adapt to an ever-changing world.
We are proud of our beautiful school building, which is surrounded by lush gardens and green spaces that provide the perfect setting for outdoor learning and play. Our classrooms are bright, airy and well-equipped, and our teachers are highly experienced, passionate and dedicated to their craft.
At The London Acorn School, we value diversity, respect, and inclusivity. We welcome families from all backgrounds, nationalities and faiths, and we work together to create a cohesive community that supports and inspires each other. We believe that education is a lifelong journey that starts from the moment we are born and continues throughout our lives. Our goal is to help our students become confident, competent, and compassionate human beings who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.
We invite you to visit our school, meet our teachers and students, and experience for yourself the unique spirit of The London Acorn School. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

"My children are thriving here - and the teachers are beyond compare Outstanding! With both parents being engineers, we wanted a school for our children that would lay a really solid foundation for a life-long love of learning to best equip them to navigate the fast-changing world of work as adults. Three years on, it gives me so much peace to see how well my children are thriving. The hard-core academics are delayed compared to mainstream British schools (more aligned to the Finland model, starting age 6) -but as my eldest has progressed, I can see how this has really helped him not to lose confidence and to keep fully engaged."
"Superb school and staff. We moved our child from our local outstanding school to Acorn after we noticed he was been left behind due to a rushing attitude on learning and some other factors. The care and attention given here has huggly improved his well being therefore a massive step towards the education. If you are thinking of joining the school go and see it for yourself. Notice the happy children, notice the classrooms and the office. Speak to the teachers and you will get your answers. We are very greaful to have chosen this school."
"Both my children have been at TLAS from their very early years - they are now aged 5 and 7. As a gay family we really value the inclusive, progressive, welcoming atmosphere. The school is founded on LOVE :-) As educators ourselves we also highly value the Steiner based but innovative and progressive pedagogic model. It is evidenced based and proving to be very effective at delivering really high, unhurried, academic achievements for both our girls - No hot housing for our children thank you! just wholistic, child centred, loving, personalised and very secure learning journeys! A gem of a school that our family would highly recommend."
"My nephews were very happy at this school. The problem is that there was far too much emphasis on play and very little on academic achievement. This has resulted in them falling way behind the reading and maths standard of kids in state schools! I believe parents are far better off saving tens of thousands of pounds it costs to put kids in this school and maybe investing in extra tuition for their children or any other worthwhile pursuits. If folks would like their children to do well academically will do better to avoid this school!"
"My daughter has been attending the kindergarten for a year. The level of accommodation and dedication we have received is amazing. My daughter settled quickly (this is her first daycare experience) and has a great connection with her teachers. For me it was important that the school activities are age appropriate and that the child's emotional well-being is prioritised. I also felt spending time outdoors was important, as well as the respectful attitude towards children and letting them grow at their own pace when they are still so young. It's a lovely and close knitted parent community and our family has come to cherish this school."
