"I would highly recommend this campsite. We stayed for 2 nights over Hogmanay - Sam and the rest of the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the site was immaculate and is a short bus ride from the city centre. Great facilities on site - I will be visiting again."
"Very organised and clean with great pitches, plenty of easily accessible amenities, and friendly/helpful staff. The only downside is the location - I wouldn’t want to be walking to the bus stop at night as the long, secluded path is clearly a drinking hangout for the locals."
"Stayed at this site for 4 nights November 2022. We had a great stay. Was initially apprehensive by the exceptionally negative comments about the area, but this wasn’t the case. The site itself was well maintained, it had secure bike sheds where we put our bikes away after use for reassurance. The shower block could do with little updating but was very clean and tidy, lovely and warm with lovely high pressures showers so no complaints at all. There is a lovely cycle route to Leith mostly along the beach which has some lovely bars, restaurants and cafes which took us novices about 45 mins each way. There was a lovely sunset sitting outside of one of the bars on the bridge. Graham who has a little mini bus and does shuttles into Edinburgh was ever so friendly and we used him for our journey into Edinburgh on two occasions. Would definitely recommend and he was always on time, just give him a ring during the quieter times so he knows you want picking up. We will definitely be returning soon. Michelle and Vicky"
"Lovely clean site, good sized pitches, toilet block more than adequate, plenty of hot water and efficient showers. Very helpful staff in reception A great position for access to Edinburgh. Short walk for bus stop with regular no 27 to take you in 30 minutes to a short distance from The Castle. Also short walk to a beach promenade which was fab. Wish we could have stayed longer."
"We really loved this place. This was our first long trip out in the camper and we stayed here for a few nights. I was a bit worried about where I'd booked as we drive in, but once there it's like a peaceful park in the middle of the country. It's a quick trip in to town, but we'd recommend using the shuttle bus from the site which runs until 6:30. After that, an Uber back is recommended over using public transport and the walk down a very dark wooded path to the site. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The facilities are fantastic."
