"Recently been to see The Lion King and had a thoroughly wonderful time! The performance itself was fantastic and the cast were all wonderful. The theatre itself is traditional and relatively old. It really is beautiful when you take the time to look at all the features. The foyer looks absolutely fantastic and the staff are absolutely amazing. Such happy, pleasant people who are more than happy to help. The chairs in the actual theatre are comfy enough but you can tell they’re old. Sitting for 3 hours solid is not so great, as well as there being barely any room for your legs, let alone personal belongings. They also really need to enforce disallowing re-entry, at least until certain points, when people have left because I spent half my time getting up and sitting down because of children constantly ‘needing the toilet’. Nothing more annoying when you’ve paid a lot of money for tickets and the show being interrupted over 5 times in one act. Other than that, it’s a wonderful experience no matter where you sit and I really do recommend going to see a performance here!"
"Large theatre with great atmosphere. We were there to see Beauty and the Beast, final performance and it was unforgettable. The theatre had a great system to check for covid passes, tickets and bag search. We enjoyed our concessions too"
"Review is for the venue not the show as beauty and the beast was incredible and the best show I’ve ever seen. The venue is the worst I’ve ever been. Complete discomfort zero leg room all crammed in and hardly anybody wearing masks. A shambles, it’s nothing more than greed. I paid £80 for me and my partner to be sat up in the balcony and for that money the least I expect is to be comfortable."
