"This is my local shop and it's your typical everyday corner shop. You can buy food and drinks and random supplies if caught short. You can buy booze. You can send and receive parcels and top up various cards. They have a hot food counter with a big selection and some daily fresh cakes. As ever the shop can be half or totally empty at random times but that's what makes it exciting. Also the staff here are always top notch and friendly."
"These places are usually pretty reliable for a wide range of products out of a relatively small space, the main thing to watch out for being if they're the newer refitted deli style Co-Ops or the older standard stores, the older ones seem to have better prices on a range of basics but the newer ones are more upmarket which you might prefer and more expensive which you probably wouldn't. You makes your choices."
"Shocking, went to get a couple hot pastries, that were under the light. But to my surprise they were freezing, literally freezing. Unfortunately i had paid already and wanted to avoid anything. But definitely not coming back and will let people know about the poor standards carried in this location."
"I usually find Scotmid staff very friendly but this past Saturday (6th of March) I went to this branch around midday and I was served by a very rude lady at the till. She made me feel very uncomfortable as she seemed to be very annoyed by my questions. When asking for the price of tobacco she visible annoyed replied "I don't know" and after I asked for a lighter she said (again visible annoyed)"what kind of lighter you want" without even telling me what they sell. I understand this is an exception but I think that it should be looked into it anyway. I serve customers myself and I couldn't believe how rude she was to me for no reason. If she happens to be on the till again I will ask to be served by someone else."
