"PLEASE STOP SCANNING ITEMS BUT PLACING THEM THEM OUT OF REACH BEHIND THE COVID BARRIER. Staff scan your things but don’t push them towards you until you have paid, meaning you have to then franticly stuff them in your bag while the next customer waits. I’ve already cut my hand on the barrier trying to reach my items while the staff just watched me."
"Use to go there all time and all staff is nice!"
"A store employee falsely accused me of, previously, trying to steal groceries. The store manager informed me, in-front of the other customers, that I should leave and I would never be served in that store again. I was astonished by this false allegation and appalling behaviour. I then made a formal complain to Sainsburys about this incident. To do this, I had to write a letter and mail it to the Area Manager of that store. After doing so, no-one replied to my letter. I live in the Haymarket area, I used to shop in Sainsburys on most days. I now refuse to shop in ANY Sainburys because… 1) Their staff treat paying customers like dirt. 2) They ignore complaints about their staff’s awful customer service. I now shop at Tescos and the Co-Op instead - I suggest you do the same."
"Great wee shop , awesome staff. Prices creeping up though and smaller amounts. Current climate I guess, but not good on pocket."
"I'm perplexed how this store gets such a high rating. Ever since it opened it's had a bad smell inside, as if the building used to be used as a crematorium. The prices, of course, are all higher than Tesco. You want a jar of Colman's mustard? Then you'll be paying about 40p extra for the privilege. Got a headache? Then that'll be an extra 20p for a packet of own brand paracetamol. Got a craving for Jammie Dodgers? They're usually half the price in Tesco. This all adds up, but it seems that some people choose their supermarket like they choose their football team. Lest we forget, this store has never had self-scanning machines, not to mentions that there seems to be no formal direction for the checkout queue; usually trailing down one of the narrow aisles and hampering shoppers. It's cramped as hell. The staff are a little stuck-up, compared to Tesco. All this, and Tesco opens an hour earlier. As I said, the high rating makes no sense. I suspect most of the reviews are posted by Sainsburys."
