Reviews of Off the Leash Dog Parks
"There were a lot of birds scarers going off while we were there which made the dog jump a lot. Not good for an anxious animal. Also, many previous users had not cleared up after their dogs leaving the grass dirty. Secure space though and plenty of room."
"Today was the first time we had been to Off the Leash. I'm sure it is great for dogs that do not have issues but in my opinion, people whose dogs have issues are more likely to utilise secure fields. It was pleasant enough but by no means suitable for my dog. She is reactive and could see the dog in the adjacent field who was also described by his owners as reactive. In addition to this the fencing was by no means high enough to safely guarantee that a dog could not get over it. The screening such as it was, was too low. The gates were not secure enough to contain a dog and I was conscious of this the whole time I was there. The main gates gave a view of the road outside and were equally insecure. An escapee could very easily access the main road. I hate giving poor reviews but these issues are important to the many people who have anxious/reactive dogs. Sadly, not for us."
"Visited Muddy Puddle field for the first time today. Our dogs had a great time, good size and pond is great fun, as is agility equipment. The only thing that let it down were the screens. We were very lucky that nobody was using the adjacent field as the screens are low and quite thin (you can see shadows) with gaps in places. Our dogs are reactive which is the main reason we use secure fields. If the screens were lifted to the height of the fence (at least) and made thicker, I wouldn't worry too much about other people using the field next to us. If the screens were fixed I would give 5 stars! (Also the fences, especially at the back are too low for any escape artists - again we were lucky not to have to worry about that). Photos of screening attached with GSD for scale. Him and our collie mix could easily put there paws up and fight through the fence at the top or through the gaps."
"Large field but grass way too long. No way to find ball or let it bounce when thrown, no way to find were dog has pooed and trainers and socks soaking. Needs maintenance and will come back."
