"Classic Wetherspoon in a great location. We stayed in the nearby travel lodge and came here for evening drinks as well as breakfast. The drinks were great and the staff always asked if we had a preference on brand of spirits when ordering which was a lovely addition. When we had breakfast, we wanted to change a few of the items but that was no trouble and we wasn’t charged any extra. Food came in a timely manner and was nice and hot. Plenty of free parking and is in walking distance of the Braehead arena. Downside is that it does get very busy so you may not get a table if you’re going for food in the evening, which happened to us. Overall it’s a lovely Wetherspoon with nice staff."
"Ordered haggis neeps potatoes but what came out was neeps potatoes haggis. Literally like a spoon and a half of haggis if that. When it was put down my partner thought I had ordered one of the small plates...."
"Went for dinner tonight after spending the evening ice skating. All available tables were dirty and not wiped down for starters. Went to the bar to order food even pointing at the menu for what we would like due wanting some things removed from certain dishes due to dietary requirements. Food eventually came 40 minutes later first dish to arrive was wrong but it wasn’t that big a deal second dish was correct and third dish was complete wrong. Mentioned to the server that the dish was wrong so he said he would get the manager to come over after 5 minutes we were asked to meet the manager at the bar( felt like she didn’t want anything to do with it) went to the bar and straight away was greeted with a attitude with the manager saying it’s our fault the dishes came out wrong we should have been more clearer when ordering our food. Anyway reordered our food and paid the difference between both dishes 50 minutes had passed no food had arrived at the table until we asked a server if we could have an update on how long it would take for him to come back and tell us that the manager hadn’t actually put through the new order and by that time everything around us closing up for the end of the night asked for a refund and the person that refunded us couldn’t have been any nicer but the manager in charge was rude and made us feel unwelcome after the first encounter definitely wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t be back."
"Food took too long to arrive. Was very crowded meaning the ladies who lunch stared and whole load of negative vibes as us great unwashed blethered on. One couple moved to a bench. Maybe sort out booths to gain privacy and comfortable talking environment"
