Ashleigh's Golden Acre Barbers

"My barber retired after thirty years of cutting my hair and consequently I have been rather nervous about finding someone new. After reading the reviews for Goldenacre Barbers I decided to give it a try this morning, given it wasn't too far from where I lived. Ashleigh lived up to all of her recommendations, putting me at ease quickly and more to the point, I came out with one of the best haircut's I've ever had; my wife even fell in love with me again calling me "handsome devil" !"

"Very friendly service, good at putting people at ease. My normal hairdresser is on holiday and I worry about using other people in case I get left with a dodgy doo (lol) All worry dispelled within five minutes of sitting in the chair. Gave me a cracking haircut, exactly as I wanted. I'm thinning out on top, no need to explain this to her as she saw and took her time to put me at ease. Makes her own hair products too. I haven't had anything like wax or gel in my hair for years, due to the thinning. But she used some of her own product on my hair and it looked great. "This is a very quirky and informal establishment but the standard of courtesy,hospitality and hairdressing skill and attention to detail cannot be faulted. The various options for men and women are very well priced and excellent value with a discount for Seniors. I won't go anywhere else as I have tricky hair(wavy/Frizzy) and Ashleigh works wonders both styling and cutting. I try to fit it in most weeks and really look forward to the whole experience. Also very child friendly, with toys etc."

"Very skilled and friendly staff help to create a thoroughly welcoming environment for all customers. I'm not the fussiest of customers when it comes to my haircut (I generally like it cut very short), and I reckon I could get a haircut to my liking elsewhere, but I always go to Ashleigh's Goldenacre Barbers as I doubt there are too many other places in Edinburgh where one is made to feel as welcomed and as valued a customer as Ashleigh and Dionne make their customers feel. You will come for a great haircut, but you'll keep coming back for the great haircut, friendly staff, great banter and relaxed vibe."
