Reviews of The Old Bank
"Personally miffed at the negative reviews on the service as my experience in 3 visits was that they were lovely and attentive. Very nice people and so happy. The make loads of efforts with coffee art too. The menu is really fun and unique and the food is great. I like spice so it's perfect for my pallet. For a brunch place its so affordable, you can easily pay double and get something miles off the standard here. Eggs always done perfectly. Place is really big so your always going to get a table. Looking forward to tasting more of the menu as its varied and special. Can't recommend it enough, lovely people lovely food."
"Enjoyable afternoon coffee stop! Huge selection of cakes and biscuits….spoilt for choice! We’ll be back ☕️"
"I went here twice when it was Caffeine and gave it a very unfavorable review which I was honestly sad about as I love desi food, especially fusion. Service was slow, staff were snippy and the food was unimpressive. After a rebrand (I think it's the same owners?) I'm now very impressed with the Old Bank and it'll be a regular again. The menu has been expanded and now offers some original dishes in the area, maybe even Glasgow. I had the Samkora (Pakosa? I forget) which was gyros with pakora, samosa, paneer, chips and some salad wrapped in a naan. It was...substantial. And very tasty. My friend had the Clocktower(?) which was egg, cheese, chopped chillis and something else I can't remember but they also reported it was amazing. Along with coffees and amazing cakes it has everything for a midday snack / meal Get down there and see for yourself"
"Pleasantly surprised by this little gem in the Southside! Staff were lovely, coffee is the best I’ve even had! Food has the Lahore touch and was just delicious! The variety of cakes I’ve ever seen in a cafe - spoilt for choice. My daughter had the mango milkshake and that tasted on point! I absolutely love the decor, very unique and I like how they didn’t add a million lights to the ceiling like some places that gives a headache! Will be going back to try the breakfast. But spot on!!"
"Chicken Tikka Gyro. This is my new favourite dish. I needed to try something different and I’m glad I did. I can’t describe how filling this was. I will be back more to try the other flavours. I tried something called “Kashmiri Chai”, this tasted sweet and very creamy. 10/10. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome."
