"We had breakfast here and it was great. The portions were generous, the maple syrup drowns the dish and it may be an idea to have it on the side to add to your own taste. The tea was on the strong side. Would definitely recommend it as a coffee or food stop. The cakes looked amazing."
"Went for brunch today. Waited 10 minutes for a table when we arrived, staff not really interested in greeting customers or clearing empty tables. Ordered coffee and breakfast, 40 minutes later we had finished our coffees and still no food. No acknowledgement of a long wait or offer of more drinks. After 45 minutes we decided to leave. We went up to the till and asked if we could pay for the coffees and leave the food as it was taking too long. The staff member gave us a blank look and said she was going to go check something. She disappeared for a couple of minutes and came back to say the food was ready. After a very long wait, we declined the food and said we would leave it, asking again to pay for the coffees so that we could leave. We were then told she needed to go check if she was allowed to take the food off the bill and disappeared again. No apology offered whatsoever and unbelievable to think we would even be considering paying for food we didn't get. While she was away, we paid for the coffees with another member of staff and left. Had we been offered more drinks at any point, we might have stayed and waited for the food. Had the wait been acknowledged and someone even uttered a sorry at any point, we might have stayed. Very poor service. In contrast, we went somewhere else and had food in front of us within 20 minutes of ordering and service with a smile."
"Used to love this place but last couple of times we've been it has definitely regressed. Last visit on Saturday morning, 11am - was very quiet, only four tables full with three staff. Not offered seats, sat ourselves down. Five minutes for waitress to bring a menu, another ten before we could tempt her back to take an order. All the time, two staff were behind the counter chatting, the other on her phone. Dirty dishes pilled on the counter, no one interested in cleaning / moving to kitchen / hiding from view. Waitress was very disinterested, didn't know soup of the day etc.. once she eventually took our order, got it wrong. Delivered the wrong items (one poached eggs, one scrambled), but told us "just move the eggs to the other plate" and sort it ourselves... gets the order wrong, then just tells us to swap it over. Wasn't offered any sauces or asked how food was. Food ok - very salty and lacked flavour / quality it used to. Asked on waitress to pay at the bar, she merely pointed at another waitress (is she in training, could she not use her words?). Overall, really dissapointed, the place used to be great with friendly staff, now staffed by disinterested and incompetent waitresses."
"POPULAR FOR A REASON! Great place for eats, particularly brekkers/brunch. It has a good range of tasty food options, including fabulous cakes, served by ever- friendly and attentive staff. The ecclectic decor is best described as funky and fun. which, overall, contributes to a warm atmosphere. The price/ quality ratio is absolutely fine too."
"A cozy and warm cafe near Bearsden railway station and coop food. The food is delicious. Though a bit overpriced, but the taste buds feel happy."
