"Can't get anyone to answer telephone.When it was in eventually answered I was told quite abruptly that " it was lunchtime afterall",please call back later and the phone was then hung up. I would have expected such a large company to have phones staffed over lunchtime or at least have an answering machine to take details in order that the customer can be called back."

"Services are absolutely shocking, can spend hours of your day trying to get hold of them, then to be fobbed off with waiting on parts to be delivered, even though you can buy the parts they’re waiting on from Arnold Clark them self with a quick Google search. Almost 2 weeks without a car. No courtesy are available, staff don’t want to listen to you on the phone and repeat them self alot. Also had to do there leg work of having to contact another store as they needed confirmation that I wasn’t liable to pay. Even though they stated that they “tried” to contact the person in the other store. Which he stated that no email or phone call was made to them. 2 weeks of owning this vehicle I had to fork out for a new battery, 4 month down the line, brake lines to be tighten, replacement of the gear cable. Hand break doesn’t work well on hills. Also car fails to start. Out of a car and getting fobbed off on every call. Clearly feeling ripped off with my first purchase from Arnold Clark"

"I have been an Arnold Clark customer for as long as I've been driving which is 18yrs and I've had a couple of small issues which have been resolved quickly. This time I was in for the car to be serviced, only waited an hour and a half. Was kept up to date with the progress and the car was washed and footwell's hoovered afterwards. The staff are always friendly and helpful."
