Reviews of La Pollera Colora
"This place shows you the two first levels of hell. In - 1, you will find a great atmosphere with casual sinners dancing salsa, merengue and Bachata. You will also find here the cloakroom. In - 2 you will hang out with The Devil, going "hasta abajo" at the rhythm of the reggaeton and being bumped by a very crowded dance floor. The security staff at the entrance are a bit impatient but this place is still 5/5. After going to La Pollera, you won't be the same."
"Terrible place packed with creepy men harassing me and my friends. Music was appalling. I used to go to this place years ago and it was a great spot to go dancing, not anymore. We had a man following my friend everywhere and just watching us, scary. Staff at the bar are very unfriendly, mostly rude. I’d give it 1 star really…."
"Amazing atmosphere, music is great, staff are very friendly and helpful. Cocktails are great and amazing price! Would definitely recommend for a good dance and cocktail!"
"DJ “el niño” must be the WORST latin DJ, he doesn’t know anything!! And abuses his use of that horn!!! He also accelerates the pace of the songs, making them unnatural. The worst DJ in the freaking world. Change the DJ and you will do better."
"Very hard to get water. Funny place, something like a mix of overpriced Italian and Spanish clubs but in London. The music is great if you bike latin stuff and the atmosphere is nice and chill. It’s very hard to navigate, I couldn’t even find the cloakroom. Drinks are very expensive: £7 for a 300ml beer! And if you ask for water they send you on a wild goose chase. As a Brit, and indeed as a human being, I regard water as an essential especially in very hot sweaty clubs. First time I asked for water I was told “downstairs” when I was already on the lowest floor. One guy did actually serve small glasses of water if you hung around and asked several times. Multiple other times I was simply ignored when I asked for water and a beer, with the bar woman turning instead to one of the Spanish speaking clientele who had queued behind me. The last time I asked for water “hey, just a tap water please” I was told “say please”. I said it again and got the water. I’m not sure if the staff are in some way directed to be rude to English speakers or people who like to drink water (presumably everyone in the world), but the experience was bizarre and very unpleasant. The doormen and bathroom staff were great, it’s really just the incredibly rude bar staff and the lack of accommodation for water that is the problem. It’s 2022 and we are in the UK. Set up a couple of water jugs and put some glasses out so people can stay hydrated when they are dancing. For the love of god"
