"The Mid Yoken is my local pub, and therefore get's my custom by default. I've seen this pub evolve over the last 30 years, and it's a shame to see it now trying, but not quite succeeding to match what it once was - a behemoth of a public house with bar, lounge a large function room with all guns blazing. Now its more often just the bar open but the manager is making a real go of getting in new customers through various events such as the quiz, disco's, and other events that are good fun to attend. It needs a bit of TLC and that's maybe what puts people off. The local area is full of young families, I really feel the Mid should embrace this and re-open the function room for family friendly events."
