"I had the Hanoi menu. There were some Asian ingredients in them but not necessarily an accurate interpretation of Vietnamese flavours. It was not a good start when the first foam dish spilled out of their white soup plate, giving the presentation just a mediocre benchmark. Fresh coriander was served with strong, long stems and were a bit chewy and I just swallowed those in, not feeling good. Fish was tender and the best dish (small portion though) out of the six courses. Chicken was not tender and the hot chicken breast fillet was served together with a cold shredded chicken leg salad. Personally, I found this hot and cold chicken combination not quite convincing in terms of either Vietnamese or British food interpretation. The meal was a bit let down by the services, too. I was frequently asked about how I liked the food. Even after I replied it was just alright, I was not asked why. Instead, the waitress kept asking what was my favourite dish, etc. It seemed the conversation was quite mechanical, as a protocol to engage with customers only. 6 courses were brought to the table by, I think, four or five different people. The portion was a bit too small for me, so I ordered a hot chocolate in the end hoping to feel more satisfying in the stomach. The server did not know if they could serve hot chocolate (but hot chocolate was obviously on their drinks menu). He politely replied that he needed to check. It only occurred to me that the restaurant was not professionally run. Location was great. Acoustics was poor with too many unnecessarily hard surfaces for the small cozy type of restaurant they were trying to portray. Next door was a pub with heavy music that caused vibrations for the full duration of the dinner."
"This was one of the best dinners Ive had. Every single dish was amazing. We took the wine pairing option, which was ok but not mind blowing and ended up not being able to drink all the wines. Would still give 5 stars for the food itself, as it’s largely sufficient to make this place incredible. The staff was also extremely lovely, and on top of that we didn’t even find it to be expensive considering how fine were the dishes. A must try for sure."
"Came here for our anniversary lunch. We planned to go last year but our reservation got cancelled in the end due to covid restrictions and we didn’t manage to reschedule until this month. The wait was definitely worth it. The Hollywood concept menu was really fun and we really enjoyed the food and drinks. Can’t wait for our next time."
"Amazing venue. The food was innovative and exciting. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Service was quick and seamless. Didn't have to wait long between courses. I will definitely be back, just wished there was one nearer, but it made it a great day out. Wonderful!"
"They do really interesting themed 6 course meals with wine pairing. Was here for the “Once Upon A Time” experience! And indeed it was magical and a lot of thought was put into the whole experience. Each dish was exquisite and flavourful. Everything was freshly prepared and cooked to perfection! They even had a really nice menu coupled with some recipes that were given to us to take home with!"
