"Never, I repeat, never shop in this store! I only wish I could give zero stars as this store is not even deserving of one. Before Christmas, I purchased a pair of trousers for my 89 year old grandmother and was assured by staff that providing I keep the receipt and tags on, these could be exchanged if necessary. I went to the store tonight for an exchange and was subjected to a terrible time by both the store assistant and manageress. I was told that I couldn't get an exchange until I pointed out that I had followed the returns policy, and, therefore, was entitled to an exchange. I eventually picked two items and asked for a receipt, which I was refused until I informed staff that I have a legal right to receive a receipt as proof of purchase. The manageress and store assistant both threatened me with security but I told them to phone the police as I was not leaving the store without my receipt. The manageress is a terrible example of how to deal with the public and I will be taking this matter further. My only thanks is that my nana was not with me and didn't have to witness my experience. Kirkwood's return policy needs to be investigated as what I witnessed tonight was illegal and I will take this further. The staff in this store are an absolute disgrace to their company and I would urge customers to shop elsewhere. Thankfully, I am young and fit but as a shop that caters to the slightly older clientele I can only imagine how upset some people may be after an experience liike mine. Be warned, if you shop in this store but later need an exchange, you will have extremely unpleasant staff to deal with!"

"Will never shop in this store again. The manageress is one of the most unhelpful and rude people I have ever come across in this line of work. She could certainly take lessons in customer care skills from her staff members, who were more than helpful and pleasant on the two occasions I was in the store."
