"We had a one night stay here with dinner and to be honest it was faultless. The welcome was warm and Charlotte who greeted us and appeared to be omnipresent finds front of house and providing great customer service an easy and effortless skill! The bar and dining area were warm and welcoming and the dinner great ( only small comment would be the fish cakes need a tad more seasoning?) and the Butcombe ale a great pint. Room and en-suite were great and the bed extremely comfortable. Very clean and great touches too. Breakfast was very good and the dog got an extra sausage, so he was also very happy! In all a great stay and we intend to be back. Thanks to all the team for looking after us!"

"Me and my family stayed here over the weekend whilst we attended a wedding and it was absolutely lovely. The rooms were so clean and very cosy! Was such a lovely atmosphere to wake up to in the morning and go for breakfast at the pub. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Also very patient considering we’d come in with some very playful toddler and kids. Food was tasty as were the drinks. We had a lovely weekend thank you. We had a nice experience and get away. Maybe some day we will come back, unfortunately living 3 hours away is why i say maybe."

"What a gem! Stunning location and fabulous in all respects. Lovely room, everything provided that you could possibly need. Comfy bed, plenty of space, a good sized bathroom with excellent walk-in shower. Food was delicious and staff were helpful, polite and friendly. What more could you want?"

"We stayed as a stop over on our way to Cornwall. Absolutely divine food with friendly staff and a great selection of drinks! Our room was wonderful also, with space for 2 adults 2 kids and 2 dogs to all peacefully sleep. Bed was super comfortable, with a great shower for the morning followed by a wonderful breakfast! The dogs were even given a dog bowl each and some doggy shampoo also! Really nice touch. Definitely recommend and will book again for future holidays!"

"I have eaten here many times over the years and always been pleased and happy to recommend. However, met a group of friends and had to wait well over an hour for our food to arrive from ordering. Had to ask to see dessert menus. Shame really as waiting staff were very pleasant. They didn't have some items on the menu, which I would not expect when taking bookings on a busy Friday evening? The food was very nice when it arrived. They did give us complimentary dessert. Told that it was a new menu but seems better kitchen organisation required. I hope they get it together very soon as a lovely venue, pleasant staff and good food."
