Reviews of The Marlborough Tavern
"Excellent starters, Margaret and I shared 5 and all were right. My Mum had fish and chips which she really enjoyed. Girls liked their puddings. The cheese plate was huge (half came back in a doggy bag) and good quality but, unfortunately, as in so many places far too cold. Cheese should not be served refrigerated. I wish restaurateurs would get this. Nice Picpoul. Somewhat variable service and rather a dull room. £46 a head."
"Overall a very nice pub serving great food. Service is high quality and staff friendly. Rated 4/5 because the food and drinks were not consistent during our two visits - one day apart. Cocktails were not measured and the salad we had missed some ingredients the second time we visited. Regardless, they are a great place to drink and eat."
"Excellent atmosphere, amazing service, and delicious burgers! We were floored by how delicious our food was, and it was the perfect serving size. We ordered dessert as well. Highly recommend."
"Excellent vibe and food. Vegetarian options were amazing and the gin drinks are great. Lovely patio seating for a sunny day. Highly recommend!"
"Lovely lunch for husband's birthday. Nice little non smoking garden, perfect on a sunny afternoon. The service was very efficient and finally, the food was superb. We only had enough time for the quick bites but they were delicious and beautifully presented. Very much recommend the scallop in shell!"
