"Good food served quickly for a reasonable price. I love finding these kinds of places - no faff, no fuss, no gimmicks. The menu is large and full of familiar foods that come out exactly as you expect them to be. The black pudding is lovely, the square sausage they get in is frankly enormous, and the tea was piping hot. All for less than a tenner right on Byres Road. I'll surely be back!"
"Fish supper...fabulous. live in Rotterdam but come to Glasgow regularly to see family. It is always a MUST that I get a fish supper from you. Stay around the corner, Havelock Street, but always get it delivered....fresh, hot and so so tasty. Looking forward to being home at Christmas."
"Now before I give me review... I'm a thorough bred Yorkshire-Man. And I love fish n chips. Have had a lot of them. And travelled some distance. I read the reviews of this place, and had to try. So after a family trip to Loch Lomond. Had to pay a visit. And it was definitely worth it. The pictures don't do it any justice (apologies for the naff pic) noticed mushy peas, curry's sauce and tartar at each section of the fish. And yes. I went for the large special. And it was epic. Cooked to order. A choice of battered or breadcrumbed.. I'm a purest so went for battered. Mrs had the breadcrumbed. And that was delicious. Not greasy or oily. Fried in sunflower oil. It was super flavoursome. And great value for money, portion size for the regular size was generous. Highly recommend the specials. Oh and washed down with a brew and a sweet treat, side of deep fried battered Mars. Genuinely a great family spot. Both the chief Fryer Bobby and Pauline were total legends looking after us. So huge big thank you to the team. Looking forward to my next trip to Glasgow. And this is now definitely my go to place. For a decent chippy for the family"
"Try this lovely fish and chips place, lots of seating and comes in big portions. We ordered fish tea and ice cream floats, it tastes great, large portions, great value for money, very friendly service, not much waiting time. The menu has a large selection, they do more than fish and chips!"
