"Five of us visited The Huxley for our 31st Night Dinner during our stay in Edinburgh December 2022. The ambiance was definitely inviting and cosy. The staff were very friendly. Since we had a booking we were quickly shown to our table. The menu was packed full of interesting food choices. Five of chose chilli cheese dog, venison haggis pie, classic burger, rump steak, hand cut chips, large highlander fries and as desert chocolate brownie sundae. Every dis was delectable. The highland fries with haggis and a creamy sauce was heavenly. The steak was perfectly done as a rare option was juicy and soft. We all had a great time at The Huxleys and the cost was very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Edinburgh."
"We had a great table with views over Edinburgh Castle. Very doggy friendly . Presentation was good. Food was very salty . I happen to like salt but could not eat 2 of the 4 dishes. They did not charge us for those dishes. Friendly staff & good place for drinks"
"Had the Full Scottish and Eggs Benedict after a night of drinking, felt a lot better after I left. Came with haggis (a mixup of sheep organs and various spices) was for sure a good introduction to an underatted part of the country."
