"Sadly didn't get a chance to review any higher and stars are literally for the beautiful decor and a great waiting staff. Let's start with the menu. Whoever created it should research what does 'Vegetarian' mean. Baked cod does not qualify for a vegetarian meal. Also, Italian restaurant that 'run out' of pizza?! When pizza is around 30% of the whole menu? Like, really? Going further, I understand that a restaurant like this is not a McDonald's. However, waiting an hour for a starter is a bit much. And no, it wasn't something exceptionally sophisticated- it was a piece of bread with mushrooms on top. The mains didn't arrive until 30min after we finished with our starter and at this point we started considering the French exit as starving. When the meals finally arrived they were pleasing to the eye but really horrible in taste. The steak was as dry as it could be, despite the fact we asked for medium-rare. Fritatta smelled of cheap supermarket eggs and was really difficult to swallow as such. I love chips, like any type of chips. I like to consider myself a chip expert. The ones served in Roberta's weren't chips. They were dried pieces of potatoes which most likely spent majority of their existence in the freezer until someone mercifully fried them on some old oil and sprinkled with some cheap parmesan, which I could understand if I wasn't asked to pay a fiver for. Desserts were served as after the mediocre main we were still hungry and as before- utter pleasure for the eye, and horror for the mouth. Creme brulee, respectable chef, should be served warm on top, as you are meant to burn the sugar shell on top literally on service, and cold on bottom. Clearly nobody read the memo about that. Mine arrived straight from the fridge. It was like eating vanilla custard from the tin. Maybe just stick to Italian desserts in the future and don't embarrass yourself? Overal, shambles. We spent 3 hours there, having a starter, a main and a dessert. Don't need to add that I don't recommend the place as Glasgow has so many good Italian places that actually serve value for price. A shame."
"Beautiful food with excellent service. Prices slightly on the higher side but not too unreasonable. Risotto starter & steak, salad + potato wedges were both excellent. Good wine. Nice ambiance and well decorated. Would definitely come back."
"Sadly I had a bad experience at Roberta’s. I was here with my family for a graduation dinner. The service was poor, sides arrived 25 minutes after main meal was served (& therefore eaten). I ordered gluten free pasta, it was sent back twice as it was hard & undercooked. They said it is hard to cook pasta (I have never had this issue at home or elsewhere). I ended up not having a dinner, although they did still add the returned pasta to the bill. Sadly I won’t be back & can’t recommend Robertas."
"Recently opened Robertas on corner of St Vincent Street. Beautiful decor with a mix of interesting hair style photography on the walls amongst the collections of wine. Good customer service and reasonable prices."
"The restaurant is beautiful inside. Service was great and the pizza was delicious. They have a good deal Monday to Wednesday for 2 people, pizza or pasta each and a bottle of house wine for £35. Highly recommend the Roberta's pizza with Salami!"
