"Popped in for brunch on Sunday. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Immediately shown to a seat and offered drinks. The breakfast/brunch food is excellent and not expensive. The service was a wee bit on the slow side but the staff kept us informed. They had only one person at the bar so coffees were delayed. The lovely atmosphere and tasty food made up for all that. Will definitely go again. The clean toilets were down steps at the back of the ground floor."
"I recently visited Old Salty's and was blown away by the fantastic food. The small, intimate venue creates a cozy atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. However, as much as I loved the food, I can't give Old Salty's a perfect score because of the outrageous price of £2.50 for a small pot of gravy. As a gravy lover, I know my gravy, and I can't help but feel that this price is on par with that of a good whisky per milliliter. That being said, the quality of the food shouldn't be overshadowed by the expensive gravy. Overall, if you're looking for great fish and chips, Old Salty's is definitely worth a visit. Just be aware of the pricey gravy."
"Lovely, friendly place! Cocktails & food were delicious & fantastic value! Helen the waitress was such a happy, friendly lady x Can't wait to visit when we visit Scotland again!"
"It was by far the right decision to go here! We shared 1/2 pot of mussels and a halloumi burger. While, our little one had the children’s menu. Also, the staff were friendly and polite. I really enjoyed the food and obviously the pint of birra moretti! If you are in the area, you must try it!"
"Husband and I came in for a quick bite and were amazed at the decor. It's very industrial with many different textures and just very cool looking. Server Robbie was amazing, attentive and nice. Food and drinks were pretty good. I had a macaroni and cheese pie w/ fries and my husband had the 6oz burger w/ fries. Everything came out in a timely manner. Thanks!"
