Reviews of The Fetching Fox
"Absolutely lovely. 10/10. Food is delicious. Restaurant is beautiful. Staff are very friendly and very welcoming. We dined for Valentine’s Day and they gave both my partner and I a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a red rose on arrival. Great and very lovely attention to detail. We can’t wait to go back."
"Very good friendly place. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Food quality is excellent and portion size is really good for kids and adults. Prices reasonable. Waiting times are reasonable. Overall this is an excellent place and definitely recommended. Good private parking space for car and also for baby prams."
"My first visit. Lovely welcome and we were seated by the roaring fire so for a January evening it was so cosy! We chose the offer for 2 steaks and a bottle of house wine and added starters and desserts. We alo had coffees. Food was delicious and good portions. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great value for money in a lovely setting. The lunch menu looks fabulous too so will be back to try it too! Would recommend you visit and try The Fetching Fox for yourself."
"Really lovely restaurant with friendly staff. We were sat next the the wood burner which was very welcome on an autumn day. Food was delicious, we both had the full breakfast, the bacon and haggis in particular were excellent. Good size portions for kids meals too. Will definitely be back."
"Tried this restaurant for the 1st time with my husband. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, however it did get quite noisy/ cramped the busier it got. The service was quite slow and took a while to get our food/drink orders in. We had 3 courses today, starters were Haggis Bon Bons and Goats Cheese Bruschetta. Both were really tasty, lots of flavour and beautifully presented. We then had the steak and blue cheese baguettes for mains. The flavours again were fantastic, but we felt quality of the sirloin steak wasn't the best. Was quite fatty and chewy. We both agreed it would have been 5 star if fillet steak had been used, as it is more tender and lean. We then had desserts: Creme Brulee and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Again, both were very tasty. Good selection of wines and beers. Overall, we had a pleasant meal and was good value for money."
