"Great stop off the A68 southbound (access is trickier northbound, I'm sure you'll be fine) into a large gravel car park. The wait to be seated on entry wasn't long at all, browse the menu at your table then order and pay at the counter-3 or 4 hanging around waiting for their take out. Plenty of polite staff with a tips jar at the till. Not a long wait for our bacon rolls on a Sunday afternoon, but there are notices on the table reminding you that others may be waiting for a seat. Windows overlooking the Forth etc. if you can get a good spot."
"Been many years since we were here last - lovely friendly and helpful staff, good food, amazing cakes - was full so considering the rise in Covid perhaps some of the windows could have been slightly open to improve air flow."
"We were hoping to stop for a savoury snack (sandwiches or baked potatoes) but when we got there at 3:30pm they told us the kitchen was closed. As cakes and drinks were available we ordered coffees, hot chocolates and cakes. The cakes were nice but we waited ages for the hot chocolate and when it arrived it was cold! Disappointing!"
