"Always have a fantastic experience at this vets, they are so lovely with my dog. We have been with them with all of our dogs and they have always treated them so well."
"Been with Parkside Vets for nearly 40 years, but no more, not since they became part of Medi Vet. Took my dog in between Christmas and New Year, not a bank holiday, got told no Vet in the surgery, had to go to Medi Vet 24hr service in Alder. First thing they discussed was money, told he needed to be in for 3 days, £1800, and they wanted half up front. Picked him up 3 days later, bill increased by £900, with no explanation or prior knowledge. His rear end was covered in poo, his eyes were full of sleep. Spoke to Parkside about treatment and extra cost. Got told they had done nothing extra, they just didn't realise the true cost of the drugs. It's like taking your car for a service, being quote £300, then being told it was £500 because the oil and parts were dearer than they thought, and the left all the old part in the boot. No real animal welfare at all"
"This vet in New Ferry, in my opinion, is the best on the Wirral! You get a warm welcome from the staff and they are very friendly. They go above and beyond to help in anyway they can. They also love to give your dog a cuddle if allowed! The vets themselves are extremely helpful and knowledgeable & in my case put themselves out to help regarding your pet!"
"This isn't my usual vets but twice in the last 6wks they've come to my rescue. The girls are lovely and went out of their way to help and the vet himself was so understanding and compassionate. I'm sorry I dont live closer but would recommend them to anyone who does."
"We brought our lovely cat to the surgery for tests and which she had. We were then given an extortionate mount for her teeth which wasn't priority as she was vomiting a lot. We noticed she was considerably underweight and our priority was getting her to a healthy weight before tackling anything else and once we said that we had no help whatsoever in terms of her health as they were more interested in getting £500 for her teeth. We mentioned this sometime later when she was seriously ill and whilst the vet stated she was poorly, he didn't state how poorly and that it was just a matter of hours. We could've taken her to the veterinary hospital in Liverpool to pass away without having to suffer in agony for 24-48 hours which isn't acceptable to both animals and owner which was heartbreaking for us as our lovely cat was in pain and they didn't have the decency to give her decent care throughout our time at this practice. We strongly advise pet holders to think about where to take their pets as we wouldn't wish this on anyone else owners and pets."
