"The pool is modern and the changing rooms are normally clean. However more showers are needed as some people use these open showers to have a full wash and shampoo their hair. I do this at home and just want a quick rinse. It’s much better then Leeds council leisure centres which most haven’t been updated for at least over 20 years. However, the swimming times are rubbish as everyday they have the swimming club on at the key times when people want to use the pool. This means the pool is shared and it ruins your swim as it is overcrowded. If they were going to do the swimming club everyday could they not have made the pool bigger or had a separate pool for the club??"
"It's easier to climb at a proper climbing gym than it is at this place. We turned up after a birthday party at around 3:00pm. I confirmed I'd climbed before however not here and needed an induction, the elderly reception woman rudely told me I HAVE to have an induction despite me advising her already. She then looked completely dumbfounded and said nothing until my brother asked when they could do an induction and if it would be this afternoon as we didn't mind waiting. She said she wasn't sure as there was a party on and no lifeguards to do a 10 minute induction despite the pool being closed. She then said nothing to either of us for a good 5 minutes until she asked the elderly man next to her who confirmed that they don't do inductions in the afternoon of weekends so therefore won't be doing one today. There's absolutely nothing on their website that states this. Poor at best and will not be going back as I work 7-5 weekdays and don't have the time to go for an induction. If a normal climbing gym simply asks a few questions and off you pop why does this gym have to over do it? Also invest in reception staff that know how to greet and conversate with customers, I've had kids that are more polite."
"Decent facility but ruined by being over subscribed. In the small gym you are always waiting for equipment. Booking classes is hard work, there is only space if you book as soon as the class comes up. Swimming again often fully booked. This all takes the enjoyment out of being a member. Not surprising really as the council closed several sites and opened one!"
"I absolutely love this place, love the classes, the only problem, is that there isn’t enough of the same classes on, and also the day you turn up to a class, you can automatically rebook for next week, which doesn’t give other people a chance of trying that particular class out. I’m constantly checking my phone to see if spaces are available, and not everybody knows what they are doing weeks in advance. Sometimes classes are fully booked a week in advance, it’s not really fair to be honest. Like I say though I really do love this place, just wish they had more classes on to make it more fair."
