Reviews of Gordon Lochrie B.V.M.S M.R.C.V.S
"I’m only going to give one star and that’s because of Gordon Lochrie, because I have no issue with him. I have to say he’s a good vet. He shows compassion and caring, Wisdom and knowledge. However, our 19-year-old boy, cat was ailing and got to the stage where we needed to discuss euthanasia there and then. They have a strict policy of only having one client in the room. However, this was a different situation. It was imperative that my daughter be present as we were having our beloved boy put to sleep. The way the assistant behaved was unacceptable and completely lacked compassion. She would not let us be near him when the overdose had been administered last moments were with strangers and not loving ones. I could see on my daughters face how distressed she was. The way the assistant spoke to us was rude and lacked empathy and compassion. In fact it made our horrendous experience so much worse and so much more painful than it needed to be. There is a blonde advanced in age personality there too. As I was walking through the door, she abruptly told me to shut it to keep the heating in.,she burst into the room whilst we were having our cat put to sleep, but fortunately, my daughter shut the door on her And gave her a look,. I don’t really know who she thinks she is but she certainly is nothing to me except a very sad cold, angry, bitter disturbed human. I suspect she is the wife that’s being spoken of in these bad reviews. Her deficiency in people skills leave a lot to be desired. She is simply disgraceful and should not be in this practice at all. Her rude aggressive manner on the phone is completely unacceptable.. she needs to remember that us clients with pets are the bread and butter and pay the bills. How dare she speak to us in this way? she’s made me feel utterly bereft.. so sadly as great Vet as Gordon is I will not be taking any of my cats to this practice again. I now have trauma associated with the experience and as for these disgraceful women, they should find another job may be working as traffic wardens..or in the prison system that be better suited."
"Absolutely shocking it says on website they close at 7 pm I rang and I was out before 7pm and was charged 250 before he would assist with my dog and said out of hours charge. For him and her to keep calling my dog it. Disgusting. i told them my dogs name and what she answers to they said they wouldnt call her that as its not professional well she answers to ginge she is a red fox. So fits well. They was absolutely useless my dog had a puppy stuck and what can I say they was no help at all cost 267 for nothing as I brought her home and assisted her myself I wouldn't take a rat to them. They didn't even administer the oxytocin into the muscle which is what was needed. 0 stars from me."
"One of the best vets I have used over the years and I wish I had found Gordon and the team earlier! They definitely know how to treat and care for animals. The work they do is incredible and the staff are brilliant!"
"Called out of hours as our dog was very ill and needed looking at as soon as possible and as it was close by we rang up. We were then answered by the receptionist whom told us that because we were not registered the vet wouldn't want to see us despite us saying we would consider registering at a later date but that the priority was getting our family member seen too. She was continually rude and vile towards us so we decided to go to scunthorpe Rase vets out of hours in the end and was seen instantly with very professional help. Avoid this practice at all costs as they clearly have their priorities elsewhere than animal care."
"Out of hours service called. Cost told him vet the phone (even at midnight they answered & agreed to see my cat) Very professional & caring, extremely thorough throughout her examination. 3 days later, said cat is healthy & booked in for a grooming session. Amazing"
