"I was made to feel very welcome. All the staff were really accomodating and I felt really at ease at every single visit. The only downside was the food in the freezer that I was allowed to have was limited to one complete meal only. It would have been nice if there had been a bit more exciting food other than a vergetable lasagne and a few other bits ( and a variety of herbal teas because I couldn't have caffeinated drinks) after fasting for quite a few hours, but... I managed to live with that. I was grateful for the dedication and friendliness of everyone I was involved with at MAC clinical research in Liverpool, and I hope to be able to come back as a volunteer here."

"I was contacted on 11/02/2020 advising me there was a new study taking place for psoriasis. I was told on this telephone call to stop using my usual steroid creams as this was a requirement for this study. I attended my first appointment a week later and signed some paperwork. I was again advised not to use my steroid creams. Another appointment was then made for me which should be occurring tomorrow. I have been contacted today, less than 24 hours in advance of this appointment and been told I am no longer required. I had already booked the day off work for this appointment. Also, due to not being able to use my usual steroid creams my skin has gotten into a terrible state. I have been caused serious discomfort for over a month and let down by this company last minute. I was put under the impression that my place on the study was secured hence why I stopped using my prescribed medication. I was not paid for my time or attendance at this initial consultation so I am now out of pocket, wasted my time and my skin is going to take months to recover. I have also lost a days leave at work. Would not recommend anyone to sign up for research with this company!"
