Reviews of Zoo Bar & Club
"Asked us to pay again at the door although we got tickets from a third party. Toilets were messy and stinky. Drinks were super overpriced. A shot is £10. They advertised discount for students but didn’t apply it. Two dance floors. Lit downstairs. Pole to dance."
"Visiting from America figured London was a nice diverse and vibrant city. Was told soho and the clubs there were a good option. To my “surprise” discrimination exists across the pond. Showed up well dressed from dinner but was denied entry at several places including this one. Was told “no solo entry” it was for my safety in case I got too drunk or had a medical emergency. Keep in mind I’m completely sober and polite as can be because as far as i know the guy is just doing his job. Never heard of such nonsense, also saw other single people enter. Not sure if it is true but I’ve read and heard that it’s a nice way of saying “ thanks but no thanks”, to people they don’t want to let enter. Security told me there were other nice bars I should go there. Keep your elitism, racism and any other kind of -isms, if this is the kind of establishment you run thank you for not allowing me to support you. Plus London has a lot more to offer elsewhere with other good people. It is your life and money but word to the wise avoid this club and area it’s not worth it."
"We went to the far right side of the bar which was a bit chilled. No entrance fee. The place is old, you can see it from the seat cushion and wooden wall but interiors has a cool vibe. Service is okay. Wish that there can be more food choices aside from pizzas which was “okay”. But you can bring outside food with no extra fee. Toilets are on the 3rd floor via stairs"
"Tried to go here with a group of 5 people, wouldn't tell us how much entry was without having all of us go through ID checking, pat downs etc, fair enough, then found out someone else got charged 20 quid for entry to a tiny club! Seen the other reviews about drinks prices so glad we didn't get in, no one knows what's going on there and they seem to make up prices depending on how many people are in your group, when we decided to leave, lovely doorman tried to talk us into going back in (in a friendly way he was really nice and chatty) but general manager (obvious by the suit) interrupted him waved us off and said bye bye in a sarcastic manner basically telling us to get lost, wouldn't bother going back there not sure why anyone does when the manager is rude like that and they try to con you into paying extortionate entry fees and drink prices by not even deciding how much to charge you before you get past all the security checks (we asked and not one staff member could tell us) didn't even go inside and I can tell its a terrible place to go. Do yourself a favour and find a better, cheaper bar nearby"
"Do not go here. I was confronted with racist here for the first time in a while. Absolutely disgusting for 2022. I ordered 2 drinks while at the bar (extremely overpriced) I left one on the bar where I was standing and the barman immediately cleared it up. Upon questioning who took my drink I was met with hostility and told by the manager "my people do this and he's tired of it". I questioned what he meant and before I knew it there were 10 bouncers around me to kick me out. All of the guests around me also realised this was horrendous behaviour on zoo bars part. In fact the bouncers even agreed with me, they apologized for the managers behaviour. The manager also refused to give his name for obvious reasons. (I overheard his name was Tony) The manager refused to speak to me and only to my white girlfriend. After I was kicked out she asked for a refund of out entry fee due to this, the manager told her that she would've got the refund... If she wasn't with "a guy like me". I am shocked at this behaviour and want to make a formal complaint. NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE it's a rip off and tiger tiger is a short walk around the corner. (Ironically suggested by one of the bouncers as a place we should continue our night, after he saw the appalling actions of his manager)."
