"Quiet rural setting, incredible value for money and no minimum hours! Wow! A gorgeous little pre-school where old fashioned values such as manners, sharing and caring for others are key. My quiet little boy has settled beautifully in this setting which feels more like a child minders environment than a busy nursery where the very small numbers allow individual development needs to be met as they take small steps toward independent socialising. "Terrific little pre-school! Can't rate Squirrels highly enough. We have had a child there for the past 5 years now (2 of our 3 boys have attended). Without hesitation I'd say this is the best childcare setting we've come across. It is a very simple set-up in a lovely location, looking out over a field. There's an outdoor playspace and 2 rooms inside. The children and staff all know each other well and have really good relationships because it's small. The staff interact brilliantly with the children, playing board games, reading stories and helping them look up facts in books etc. They are completely flexible with drop-off/ pick-up times between the opening hours of 9am and 3pm and there are no minimum hours. If children stay all day they bring a packed lunch. There are lovely family events at Christmas and in the summer (sports day). The children are happy and feel secure, and you couldn't ask for more. I rate Squirrels above several private nursery settings we have used in the past."
