Reviews of Savoy Theatre
"I recently had the pleasure of seeing Pretty Woman: The Musical at the Savoy Theatre and I was absolutely blown away by the incredible acting. The actors brought the characters to life with their amazing performances and made me feel like I was part of the story. The chemistry between the actors was palpable and made the romantic scenes even more special. The music was also fantastic and added to the overall experience. The songs were catchy and memorable, and I found myself humming them long after the show was over. The costumes and stage design were also impressive and really helped to transport me to the world of the show. One of the things I loved most about the show was how it managed to capture the spirit of the original movie while still feeling fresh and new. The story was engaging and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire performance. Overall, I would highly recommend Pretty Woman: The Musical to anyone looking for a fun and romantic night out in London. It’s a show that will leave you feeling uplifted and inspired!"
"We had the pleasure of attending the theatre production of "Pretty Woman" in London (a couple of weeks ago), and I must say, it was an amazing spectacle! The cast was truly exceptional, delivering unforgettable performances that left me in awe. The singers were particularly noteworthy, their voices filling the theatre with beautiful harmonies and powerful emotions. One of the highlights of the show for me was the opera bit, which was simply marvelous. The combination of the stunning music and the talented performers created an atmosphere of grandeur that was truly breathtaking. Whether you're a die-hard fan of the original movie or you've never seen it before, "Pretty Woman" is a show that will not disappoint. For those who have never seen the movie, it's a great introduction to the story and the characters. And for those who are already familiar with the iconic film, the live performance adds a whole new level of depth and excitement. The Savoy Theatre however was lovely but quite narrow, definitely not our best London theatre experience. Theatre staff was lovely and professional. It was a stupendous show that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable theatre experience. This production is not to be missed!"
"My wife and I went to see Pretty Woman the Musical on 30th Dec 2022. The show was very good and we enjoyed it. The Savoy Theatre however wasn't our best London west-end experience. It was far too hot and many people were complaining about this. My wife queued for the ladies toilets for 15 of the 20 minutes interlude, to find doors that would not lock, one cubicle out of order, and nothing to dry her hands on. The standard of cleanliness was poor. On the positive side, our view from Row G in the dress circle was very good. My rating would have been 5 stars as the Pretty Woman musical was very good, but the Savoy Theatre itself would have been three stars. There really is no excuse for shabby and broken toilet facilities."
"Came to the Savoy Theater tonight. It’s absolutely beautiful. The architecture, the balcony’s are amazing. You can see the stage from any seat and the best part the orchestra or the Stalls seating is raised by row so you can see. Saw Pretty Woman tonight and it was exceptional… so worth seeing."
"Came here on a whim to watch Pretty Woman. The building is quite impressive but had to navigate a fair amount of stairs inside. The show was a blast with all the memorable lines from the movie. The theatre was quite narrow and your view may get blocked if a large person sits in front of you. The lead channeled Julia Roberts well but singing was a bit too grating for me. Overall well worth watching especially for those who love the movie."
