Reviews of Phoenix Health and Wellbeing
"You are seen as just another number in what is ultimately a company making money off other peoples traumas and misfortune. I have attended all my counselling sessions to date and always paid (spent in the region of £300 so far) and currently about half way through my allocated sessions. I cannot attend for one week due to one of life’s commitments that you face as an adult (car MOT) and they are quick to take your money from you and refuse to refund. I emailed the company 23 hours and 30 minutes before my session after numerous attempts to get through on the phone. All because of a “time stamp” on my email, i haven’t given them adequate notice. They see you as a paying customer before you are seen as a client who needs help. I have lost all faith in the company and it is truly a shame because my counsellor Tanya was fantastic. I will not be returning for the remaining sessions because I now know that all these people seem to care about is taking money from people who need help and not the physical and mental well-being of their clients. EDIT FOLLOWING THE BELOW REPLY FROM THE OWNER: regardless of whether you are a company or charity, I am still charged for services therefore making it a business providing services. If you read through all of my email correspondence with your company you will see how it was handled. Not very professionally at all!"
"After having my initial assessment with a lovely lady I returned a week later for my 1st session. I asked if I could exchange the chair which was provided for one from reception as these were much more suitable for my back. The therapist asked a lady in the next office who I am guessing was in charge if we could use one of the chairs (1 of 6 tub chairs which nobody was sat on because there were nobody waiting for appts) her response was that it wasn't ideal because those are for reception. I said I would put it back and she agreed but followed the comment by saying but is this going to be a regular occurance. I responded by saying yes quickly followed by me saying it doesn't matter (it was obvious at this point that it was an issue for this lady even though she said I could use it). I said that people there are suppose to care about there clients and told them to cancel all my future appointments and left I mean if you can't accommodate a chair to be replaced for 50 mins then how is someone to feel confident about comfortably talking about life issues. No thank you. This was an appt that took 1 year to get as it was referred by my GP. I am now back at square 1 as I would not use this company again The reception lady and the therapist were lovely people it's such a shame."
"Not a very good experience only been during COVID and it was at a time when masks where optionally in most places so I went without a mask and this woman at reception just shoved the masks in my face and said no it's not optional with a bad attitude that caused a panic attack and made me feel worse I only stayed because I'd already paid for the counseling session or I'd of walked out of there and not gone back the only reason that I kept going back was because the counselor I was seeing at the time was nice and helpful and actually wanted to see me again which was really nice as I don't usually make it past the first session with a new counselor however since he doesn't work at this centre anymore I probably won't be ever going back again unless they ever make mask wearing optional like most other places there's a nice way to ask someone to put a face mask on I don't think I received good customer service from the receptionist I went their to go home feeling better not worse."
"Popped here for the first massage of my life and it was an incredible experience. I booked with Ali and had no idea what to expect but was put at ease very quickly. Friendly, clean environment and very bright and modern considering it's on the lower ground floor. I had a little difficulty finding it, but look out for their sign just by their staircase down - it isn't big, bright and flashy like some of the more distracting signs on that street. Parking is general Leeds City Centre parking vis paid meter or the "Ring Go" app. No card payments so bear that in mind. Highly recommend!"
"I’ve been using Phoenix for around 6 weeks on a weekly basis. All I can say is “ THEY ARE AMAZING !!”. I’ve had deep tissue massages and reflexology from Gail and the difference in a few short weeks is immense. I feel like a different woman. Rachel, the reception manager is so so lovely and all the staff I’ve come into contact with always say hello and talk to you. I look forward to my weekly session and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. Keep up the fab work guys, you are true angels and in my opinion life changers !!!!!"
