Reviews of Newfoundland
"For the price point they charge, this property is clearly just bad. I have lived here for about 6 months now, and they have consistently had issues with the management of the building. They have had consistent issues with lifts, where the entire 58 floor building is just relying on that one lift or two lifts for days on end. It can take easily up-to 20-25 mins just to come collect your food and then go back up. Or wait in a line after a tiring day. I am not saying waiting in line for 10 mins is unlivable. However, if you are going to charge rents at the price points you do, and spectacularly fail at your end of the promise to provide a luxury building, then that definitely needs to be called out. I am leaving this building once my tenancy is over, as are a host of other people. If you are a prospective customer for them, I would encourage you to be aware about these issues. These have been long standing, and consistent."
"Liars and cheats. Among the many problems mentioned here by previous reviewers, also add that the management company lies and cheats you on electricity readings. They claim that they measure it and report it monthly. But they measured the same reading in 2 consecutive months. That's impossible. They also claim much higher electricity readings that are correct. My electricity usage month to month does not differ by up to 4x! Of course, management mentions there is no problem and that the readings are accurate. Even when pointing out impossible things like 2 months having the exact same reading."
"The team is incompetent. The lifts are usually broken. There are also creaking noises in the middle of the night. The utility bills are a scam. We are being overcharged and denied access to our electric meter. I advise you to not rent here. It is advertised as “hassle-free” living and that is far from the truth… I have never dealt with such incompetent management and staff."
"I am surprised by other ratings here. This is one of the worst residential building I have ever lived in and for the price I am paying it is ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH IT and would never recommend anyone to consider. There is ongoing discussion with the building management on all the defects the building has. Lifts are barely working. Bin chute is always out of order. The building swings and creaks incredibly loud through windy weather. Building management suggests it is normal but it is by no mean normal. I have lived in Singapore, Manila, Tokyo and HK. Lived in dozens of high rise buildings. Lived through many typhoons and earthquakes and none of other buildings globally would ever swing and creak this poorly as NFL. Way under staffed to ensure an efficient level of service. In general, the staff and building management isn't at all helpful. The overall experience is stressful and not at all enjoyable. It's my big regret choosing NFL."
"The worst part of staying here is the Terrible creaking sounds during windy nights, can’t sleep properly! Meetings during WFH can be a disturbance too.. Lifts are not always functioning well, toilets tiles are not the easiest to clean and common area (rubbish bin) can be dirty and smelly. 1 star for some of the nicest front desk people and comfortable furniture!"
