"My experience with the Clarendon was truly a delight. I am from NY and had only visited London once when I was younger. When I found out I needed an apartment quickly that was within a certain price range, certain area, and was furnished, I felt like the task might be impossible, but then I found Clarendon online and they were amazing! The reservation staff responded quickly to my questions and found me everything I was looking for. The apartment is wonderful and the management is amazing. I really couldn't have found anything better. The experience was quick and easy and their team was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone like me moving into London looking for housing. Internet was amazing. I didn't expect such fast WiFI."
"Had a good experience here this last 2 months! I stayed with them also in their Canary Wharf location last year. That's why I went with them again. 1. Close to subway stops (Tower Hill and Aldagate) 2. Great location! We were walking distance to some eating spots, La Pietra (Italian), Hal(Turkish), and Cafe Spice (Indian). 3. Very good quality and comfort, everything worked properly, so not sure about other complaints. Our room was perfectly isolated from outside noise. 4. Amazing reservation staff service. Always cheerful and helpful throughout the stay. I was using a company discount and forgot the necessary paperwork. No worries, they said we'll figure it out. 5. My friend Mark T. accidentally took a cab to another building across the area and they helped him at the phone to find our reservation here, and help him come "home" safely. 6. Spacious room, with great kitchen, not sure about the "rumbling noise problems" I read in another review. Definitely helpful for storing food, using the wine glasses, etc. My favorite was the bed set and the great spot of the buildin, and free welcome package with fruits :) Wish I coulda taken advantage of the nice area and near entertainment hubs but my body refused to get up after long hours of work. Will definitely stay here again during my next London visit with colleagues"
"Stay away from this building folks. Here are 15 notable issues experienced during our stay (especially note the last one): 1. unit has older, acoustically-transparent windows. It faces a busy commercial street with a bar, traffic, and periodic construction. 2. the bed is not very comfortable. Also, pillows are weak, comforter is short, and no extra bedding has been provided (extra blanket, etc). 3. very poor shower: cramped, temp is difficult to adjust, no shelf for items, door is partially broken. 4. very little shelving in bathroom. 5. unit temperature controls are not very intuitive. 6. the bedroom door is so squeaky that it has to be left open at night. 7. one of the two provided fans was not functioning properly (broken one has excessive / constant noise). 8. CO2 detector in bedroom has a strobing-light once per minute 24 x 7. 9. very little dresser or other storage in the bedroom. Little room for luggage too. 10. poor-quality wood floor with installation gaps throughout. 11. unit and furnishings have very little character / design. 12. washer / dryer takes far too long to operate and its controls are difficult. 13. building front door opens with difficulty and often does not latch (security issue). 14. building and common areas have very little character / design. Same with the immediate surrounding area. 15. building is constructed over the Tube’s busy Circle Line, so has regular 'rumbling' noise from trains and a periodic louder rattling noise in the kitchen area."
