"Absolute rip off compared to most places in Liverpool. DO NOT GO"
"First time in Liverpool for a Hen do and we decided to treat the group to a VIP booth in Club Pure. The hostess came out with sparklers and big bottles of Belvedere Vodka for the whole table. It was quite cool. I am not much of an RnB head but I still had a good time here. Iv seen it once but wouldn’t go out of my way to go back."
"Not normally one to leave reviews however, the treatment I received last night from the security men on the door was awful. If you don't conform to societal norms of girls in short dresses / skirts and heels, don't bother trying to get in. The discrimination I received from not one but at least 3 men was disgraceful, particularly with the society in which we live in now. As a female who doesn't wear heels, as you'd find with a large number of females in todays society, I wasn't allowed entry inside as a result of wearing alternative smart shoes, smart shoes that don't conform to men's idealistic vision. Allowing two boys in, one of which wearing trainers which isn't considered smart shoes?, with the bouncer not allowing me in because I wasn't wearing heels like the other girls. When explaining that I don't, along with many other females of my age, I don't wear heels, I then asked if I were to wear the EXACT same pair of smart shoes one of the boys I was with (Who had been let into the club with no problems) with attitude, one of the men on the door turned around and told me no. When asked what I should wear then as a result of being told I couldn't wear smart boys shoes, the one security man on the door alongside another simply turned around and said 'why can't you just dress like the other girls' This place screams discrimination and a touch of homophobia so again if you don't conform to societal norms of what 'females' should dress and look like, don't bother going in"
"We were lured in on a Friday night by a tout on Seel Street, offering free entry and a free shot of something. The place was filled with staff with nothing to do and was completely empty, other than a very dejected-looking hen party sat in one of the VIP booths. The free shot was unsurprisingly revolting, I left most of it. We weren't impressed, and while two of our group nipped to the toilet, the security staff had obviously realised we weren't going to spend any money there, so had started their own crude attempts to eject us by triggering an altercation. This involved one of the bouncers, a Kyle Walker lookalike, trying to start a fight. The remaining two of us (a 40 and a 60 year-old) were still standing at the bar discussing where to go instead, and a bouncer pushed in-between us while we were mid-conversation (despite there being nobody else at the bar at all) pretending to ask for something from the bar staff. He deliberately barged into us, and then angrily squared-up to the 60 year-old. We had literally said nothing to the bar staff, or the bouncers. I've never in my life seen such an obvious attempt by security to start a fight. I wish I'd filmed it now. The other bouncers seems to know what was going on in advance, as they had moved from being crowded around the door outside, to blocking the exit on the inside, watching it all unfold, perhaps relishing the prospect of some violence to break the monotony of their otherwise customer-free evening. We didn't rise to the provocation, instead finding his arrogance a source of amusement - which seemed to make the bouncer even angrier. Then the other two from our group returned from the bathroom, confused at how things had degraded, and we left. On our way out, and as we were walking away, the Kyle Walker bouncer, and then all the security staff, yelled insults and threats at us, which included calling us cowards for not fighting them. Back on Seel Street, we bumped into the tout - a young guy. When we explained what had occurred, he just laughed and said it happened all the time. In my personal opinion, there is something very dodgy about this bar and its security staff, like going back in time 30 years to before bouncers were licensed, regulated and professional - Security staff who threaten you if you don't spend enough money there... security staff so bored, and so desperate for a fight they attempt to instigate one.. it's just embarrassing. I realise working door security in Liverpool is not an easy job, however, none of us were in any way aggressive or argumentative, and all the other door staff I've dealt with in the city are several levels above this lot."
