"Service good, minimal staff but those I saw were friendly and efficient. Room a bit tired but clean and comfortable. Only reason I gave 4/5 stars was because there was no hairdryer! Not necessarily their fault, I just assumed there would be one. If I had asked at reception maybe they could have provided one. Not an issue as only a one night stay. Breakfast food all frsh and hot. Check out quick and easy. Parking a real bonus."
"Originally posted at time of visit but review wasn’t showing on maps. Travelodge Teddington - 31st December 2022 - 15:30 The majority of the roads in the area are Controlled Parking Zones (Mon-Sat) so you don’t have much choice but to park in the car park. The lower car park is to the left of the building; you drive up to the gate and buzz the intercom to be let in. Not the best position for a buzzer, you have to lean out the window or get out of the car. No one asked us who we were or if we were we staying at the hotel; the gate just opened, later we went out and I had to buzz the gate intercom to get back into the car park, again we were just let in no one asked why we wanted to get into the car park, it’s a bit pointless having security gates if anyone can be let in without checks. Parking bays are very tight and there are a lot of columns which if you’re not careful could cause damage to you car. Some of the bays are for Travelodge customers and some are for residents of Park House. From the car park you have to exit through the pedestrian entrance, which is a metal gate, back onto station road, if there is any signs to help you find this gate, I couldn’t see them. Parking is chargeable and you can scan a QR code on reception or download the Horozin app. I paid for parking from 15:15 to 21:30 and was charged £5. To exit the car park there is a green button to the right on a pillar and one by the gate itself, again not very well signed. Doors to building entrance are on street level and are automatic, you walk into a foyer where there are two lifts. If the doors are locked there is a key pad for you to insert you key. Reception is on the first floor as is the bar/ cafe. We walked into reception and the member of staff turned around, he took a very dramatic step back and then stood there with his mouth open as if he’d seen a monster; I eventually asked him why he was just standing there staring at us with his mouth open and he explained that he’d just checked in a group of guests and was surprised to see us………he works on a hotel reception there shouldn’t be any shock at seeing people at reception….his whole reaction was over the top, its not like we crept up on him, as we approached the desk, we were talking to each other. A simple hello/ good afternoon would have been sufficient and more welcoming instead of the over the top amateur dramatics. Your room key unlocks the door to the corridor for your room. The room was nice, bed was comfortable and there were additional pillows. There is a small kettle and a couple of mugs along with tea/coffee sachets. Very limited plug sockets, one below the mirror and two by the desk, the two by the desk did have usb ports but are no good if you have a micro usb; there were no plug sockets or usb ports by the beds. Small pod like shower room but it looked nicer that the previous Travelodge we stayed in and that had a bath/shower. The shower was easy to use with good water pressure and there is body wash on the wall. Overall a nice stay, I’m only marking this Travelodge down because of the over the top and unnecessary reaction of the man on reception."
"Very convenient area for traveling into London with the train station being just 1 minute away. 1 simple train straight into Waterloo. The receptionist was very nice and the dinners are extremely affordable and still retain good quality. The only inconvenience is the rooms being unable to be twins. Overall good experience at a good price. Would recommend."
"Room was clean and tidy, but no soap left in the dispenser in the bathroom. Pleased I had hand sanitiser with me. The curtain was also off the rail, so unfortunately let some light in. The staff here are fantastic! Honestly so helpful and friendly. The location is great for Teddington. Price was OK, little expensive for mid week though. Only other issue is the parking. Very small enclosed car park, apparently there's an upper level but it's not advised for big cars as its very tight. I managed just about in the ground floor but it was a squeeze!"
