"I have just joined the practice and have been so happy at the service I have received. The receptionist was so polite and helpful, and arranged a telephone appointment to suit my work hours. The doctor I spoke to was amazing and took the time to go through all my options with me. So glad I’ve moved to this practice!"
"Amidst NHS strikes and long waiting times, I was extremely relieved to get a same-day appointment for my 6-year old daughter who presented signs of strep. Dr Palfreman was very accomodating, took her time to listen to us, and gave us a real sense of professionalism. A great experience end to end!"
"An absolutely awful service. Calling the surgery for last 4 days at 8am and put on hold for 27 mins. My 1st phone call I wanted to book an appointment with GP but I wasn’t given as they were fully booked so I asked the receptionist if I wanted to get a blood test done do I have book appointment with GP or nurse and she asks me to Google and book online blood tests. I booked online & went to Epsom hospital next day only to be told that they can’t do bloods without doctors prescription so why was I told by receptionist to book blood directly or unless she hinted me to do blood tests privately. I called from hospital back to GP surgery to get a blood test prescription but am told by senior receptionist that I had to see GP before she advices for blood tests. Strange then why in 1st place the receptionist didn’t book me in for GP’s appointment? Maybe they aren’t keen on NHS patients and they would have been advised by GP’s how to fob off the NHS patients. Whilst on phone to senior receptionist she books me in for telephonic appointment with Dr Drapper on same day for 5pm as it had been quite frustrating for me. Dr Draper calls me at 5:45 pm running late and rushes saying he doesn’t have time to chat and have other patients to see. If the appointment was given then why it has to be rushed or don’t see patients over phone and give more appointments to NHS patients but they are busy with private and hate seeing NHS. The GP’s in this surgery are always late by about 1-2hours for telephone appointment and if you miss this you loose your appointment as they don’t bother calling on time and later don’t speak if you call them back. Anyways cut to point Mr Drapper was aware of the situation so speaks rudely on phone with me and says I need to book a face to face appointment or go to hospital and don’t need to get blood tests done as it costs lot of money to NHS & tells I am rubbish. If it costs lot of monies to NHS then why are we all paying NI for with an increase every year? Not sure why was I even given telephone appointment if I had to see doctor face to face for prescribing blood test and when this was known to all. Anyways since I had to see GP I rang surgery next day morning to book an appointment for same day but was on hold for 25 mins just to be told that there’s no face to face appointment available to see any doctors same day as all appointments were fully booked and to see a specific doctor they can’t prebook to give fair chance to others. Surprised within 25 mins all the appointments to see patients from 8am - 6pm between 3-4 doctors is full ? The receptionist tells me next available appointment to see a specific doctor is on 11th May and was told that I have to book an appointment in advance. Excuse me illness doesn’t ask for permission to book in advance. I am not booking a table In restaurant or an appointment in salon. Interestingly they can see private patients without hesitation, waiting in long phone call queues and immediately. I wouldn’t have mind going private but Dr Drapper sees privately. Who want to see a doctor who is rude on telephone and calls his patient rubbish. An absolute joke this surgery and Dr Draper’s attitude."
"Really not a good service anymore. And cant be COVID as the previous reviewer said - may be the practice has more patients - but the processes / systems are not working any more - and communication is very poor. had my 11 year old daughter referred by the practice for blood tests because she was feeling continually ill with stomach pains. after three weeks still no response on results of test - daughter still intermittently ill. Called last week to chase what has happened. Was asked by reception to go on the website and fill in a new request. (btw everything is being deferred to the new "interactive website" to avoid personal interaction - i wouldn't be so bothered if they promised a 1hour or 4hour turnaround - but 1 working day - not very interactive). Had to point out that we HAD filled in a request 3 weeks ago - and that request still has not been concluded - so I am not filling in a new request - I am chasing an update that should have been provided. Asked for immediate call-back - was promised call back next day from the doctor to discuss results and next steps - nothing received again. Now had a further weekend of tummy upset and pains and a visit to a walk-in center with her on Saturday. Frustrating and disappointing."
"Left feeling disappointed, had my first doctors appointment today. My 2 toddlers were really behaving themselves and the receptionist came over and patronisingly asked me to keep them quiet because of other patients, this was in a completely empty waiting room! Not one other person! This was 15 minutes after my appointment time. I was mortified and left me missing my old surgery who would embrace children and support mothers. Just seen your response, 4 weeks after my post. This response just shows that you would prefer to dismiss and deny than sympathise and support. My husband also found the reception staff cold on his first visit and did not like the surgery but I actually went today and had a much nicer experience. Today the receptionist was really pleasant. Lets just hope my bad experience was because I was the last appointment and it had been a long day."
