"Never got my chair!!! I didn’t order my favorite model because it said it would take a couple of weeks till it’s ready for delivery but chose another one instead. Then it still took a month for them to be ready for delivery. I went on a trip and ended up moving. They said no problem and that they’d we put it in a warehouse until I was ready. I sent them many messages after to give a new delivery address but never got an answer. I way later wrote a review on trustpilot about my experience and got an answer that it was a long time ago and that they would investigate - never got a follow-up on this neither."
"I do not write reviews often, if you’re anybody like me you’re always cautious about websites you’ve never heard of. You’d rather pay £200 extra just to get it from John Lewis or something. You do not have to worry with this company! I ordered a Herman miller Cosm from them and the chair arrived within 3-5 business days. I hated it the chair was extremely uncomfortable for my build the plastic sides dig into your thighs and I really didn’t like it but not their fault. I messaged them and they organised the return and a refund within the next couple of days but I decided to order something else I had seen from them as an exchange. It was sent out almost immediately but unfortunately the couriers had damaged the item before it arrived again not Office Chairs fault. I told Jamie about it and he sent another one by a local courier the very next day and it is perfect. The customer service and the whole experience although without it’s problems was really good. Additionally in the UK I haven’t really seen anywhere that beats them for the price they offer. You might think it’s too good to be true but it is. Seriously consider ordering from them I’m really glad that I did and saved a fair bit of money instead of doing my normal thing and just paying for it at John Lewis."
"I purchased the Herman Miller Keyn Cantilever and I have been utterly disappointed: upon the arrival of the chair I immediately noticed that the dark grey upholster had two stains, which I took pictures of and sent to Office Chairs UK. Office Chairs UK sent the pictures to their supplier who surprisingly questioned the pictures. On top of this, the chair is extremely uncomfortable: hard plastic and non-padded upholster make it unsuitable to a working day. The back of the chair is especially uncomfortable where the upholster meets the hard plastic, creating a lump on the back that neither myself (5ft 2) nor my partner (6ft) find bearable. I raised this issue with James Reid at Office Chairs UK who kindly connected with their supplier on my behalf. Their feedback was ridiculous: instead of focusing on the discomfort caused by a poor quality chair to my back, they tried to argue that my desk is too high and asked which “kind of back pain” I have. A total waste of money and time. Not the way any customer should be treated. Please do not buy from Office Chairs UK!"
"Avoid this company. I ordered an expensive office 700GBP chair for hard floors with gliders from those “Chair gurus”. Despite being reassured that the chair will arrive with gliders installed and ready to be used I received some sort of half-assembled substitute in a home-made packaging and with castors (!). When I complained about it, they said that I have got what I ordered. Thanks God I kept my pre-sales chat transcript saved on my computer. It was absolutely impossible to negotiate anything with them – they believe that one sorry is enough to compensate for delays and for errors caused by their own irresponsible sales / dispatch service. The after sales service was not better – only after a dozen of email exchanges, three phone calls and a credit card transaction dispute raised with my bank they agreed to refund me in full and to confirm it in writing. Let us see how it goes. Their initial reaction was to make me pay for the return costs (55 GBP + VAT). Total lack of respect for customers and their needs and zero negotiation. If this company believes that their customer time and back pain from WFH due to their own errors cost nothing – then just use other suppliers. For example, John Lewis offers the same chair cheaper if I take into account 4% discount offered through my employer (e-vouchers). I will buy gliders for 10gbp to replace castors supplied by default and that is it, the end of this unhappy story. Avoid at all costs, do not trust this company – you will save your time, nerves and money."
"I bought a chair without realising they literally just closed on that day for their Christmas closure... so I emailed to cancel, but somehow we managed to arrange that I can collect. I thought that this was great, and a company I will come back for more business. So I drove to their warehouse on a Sunday morning to collect. I bought a chair and paid extra for castors with brakes. When I got home with the chair, my chair has castors without brakes. I've contacted them regarding this and a month later they responded. One person says it was fitted when I was there, the other says it was supplied prefitted. They refuse to deal this, period. Can't trust this company. Note my original online order also had a carriage fee which was paid, but I collected... I'm not too concerned on that as they did open up during their Christmas closure... But I'm not too pleased on the castors issue and the fact that it took them 1 month to respond... Embody chair I bought is not cheap, and I really like it and would've bought more from them if they resolved this castors issue."
