Northgate Point

"The receptionist is friendly and helpful. The room is fine. There is enough space and you have the essentials everything else you need to buy. (There is no salt or handsoap etc.) The cleaning staff on the other hand is a disaster. When I checked in the room didn't get cleaned. After i complained they at least offered me to clean it next day. However, they cleaned the room very vaguely and there was still crumbs and dust on the floor. There is supposed to be a cleaning service every monday but your room will never be clean. Even worse, they dont bring fresh towels every monday and to my disbelieve they once threw a "fresh" towel in front of my door on the ground what is absolutely disgusting... Aditionally, the sofa, the bed and even the floor had some wierd white stains ln it. If you need a cheap accommodation and you are not easily disturbed by unhygienic surroundings it is "okay" otherwise I wouldn't recommend it."

"Brand new student accomodation, very nice but we seem to have more for students than normal housing? The Travelodge on the Fountains was a right con, 12months later and that became student accom, yet the still have permission for at least 2 new hotels and another student place at the Northgate development."

"Loved living here for a year. Rooms are spacious and modernly furnished, and the reception and maintenance staff Louise, Diana and Mike are all so lovely and helpful. Had a great experience here as a first year student and rebooked for second year :)"

"I mean I lived here for a year with my girlfriend and it did the job.. I guess.. Put it this way.. It's overpriced for what it is The actual quality of the rooms isn't fantastic, kinda cheap The window only open about 5cm at its widest point so it's constantly too hot There's no recycling facilities There's only 2 washers and 2 dryers for over 100 people The reception staff are barley ever there Try not to live with a second person because there's not enough room But it looks modern. So that's nice."

"Nice living accommodation, facilities could be better. The washing machines downstairs hardly get cleaned so there’s a lot of gunk and goo in them you clothes sometimes even get other people’s hairs. The accommodation weren’t clean at first upon arrival, sticky cupboard handles and room floors were filthy. There were a lot of problems at first with electrics in the room, after moving in the first couple of days were harsh as the some of the switches shocked me a couple of times. This got resolved after it was made a high priority case. The window was broken and the window wasn’t fully sealed from the outside elements, this however got 2-3 weeks later. The rooms are well equipped and have smart TVs and cookers."
