"Unfortunately the service we received from Copelands when selling our house sadly really fell short of our expectations. The biggest issue we felt was consistently a problem was the way we were communicated with. Viewings from the outset were difficult to coordinate and assumptions made by office staff around scheduling got us off to a poor start. We were further frustrated when the board sign was erected outside our house without us being told or consulted as to where it would go (our fence was just drilled into). Consequently a few days after being listed someone came and updated the sign to say ‘sold’. They’d put the sign on the wrong house. This threw us completely and given that the sign was up for a whole day, may have cost us in enquiries or viewings. The rest of the process was a battle to get simple things agreed or confirmed. A set of keys for our house we gave to Copelands to conduct viewings was given to a potential buyer’s surveyor without us being told (he wasn’t accompanied either which we would have wanted). Sadly our confidence in the firm was knocked early on and never really recovered. Dealing with the office staff via phone was a roulette and the level of service ranged from warm and efficient to abrupt and dismissive depending on who you spoke with. Because of this I don’t really think we ever felt we had faith in things getting done or followed through when they told us they would. The whole process left us feeling frustrated and disappointed overall and I wouldn’t recommend Copelands."
