Reviews of Womens Temporary Accommodation Centre
"I was for a few hours and it’s not a good place to stay only one member of staff listened to me as I was in a highly distressed state and called for help to get me out of there it’s like from what like I saw being in a prison you ring to get in and are given a key to your room which isn’t very welcoming no carpet and then they get you on the housing register but they will put on auto bids so you could end up living in a place that you didn’t want to live in that area be careful if offered a place there I wasn’t strong enough to stay there and due to the emotional distress I’ve taken a overdose and I’m in The Royal Hospital where I took the overdose."
"Absolutely disgusting place with worse staff my mother a mentally unwell woman grieving her passed away son was here the staff watched and allowed other women to pick on her then when the women in there robbed my mum when she got paid the staff said it wasnt there peoblem not obky do they house thieves they allow them to take peoples things but when i say im gonna get my mums stuff its the police will be called absoluteky dosgusting place people smoking piped on the french out front while staff sit in the living room"
"Absolutely disgusting staff very unfriendly never answer phones and when knock at property they look through front window with terrible attitude I help feed the homeless but this place needs new staff with communication skills and also to keep the girls in check and also ideal the girls should have alcohol and drug tests once a week and group meeting to try and help them instead of letting them work streets"
"For a place to feel safe after domestic violence relationship and u not allowed drink drugs in the hostel this was bypassed I lived by the rules felt uncomfortable and scared at times I slept all the time to take pain away if was not for my family I would still be there they charge your housing benefit 400 and then u have to pay 7.50 per day to stay there so thats all your money the staff are fantastic and I feel sorry for them they do there best but how can u help someone that doesn't want help"
"Very bad management. Lack of communication. They don’t know how to communicate with vulnerable people who are living there. Manager Amy McCann is very irresponsible and and rude person not suitable for this job . You need to have someone who can make People feel. Safe who Are mostly vulnerable tenants. Yes there are some nice and more honest people working under Amy McCann who are more responsible and suitable for her role .."
