"We stayed here on a weekend where Liverpool was playing at home, so the prices were obviously a lot higher. This was the cheapest hotel close to the city centre that looked to be fairly decent. But at £207 for ONE night, it was highly overpriced. Now, don't get me wrong, the staff are lovely and the location is perfect, BUT the noise through out the night meant my partner and I got less than 3 hours sleep. Now, we paid an extra £18 to get breakfast in the morning and I have never been so disappointed in my life. Firstly, there is no menu, it's just a standard "continental" breakfast. Our drinks order was taken quickly and the gent said he'd bring everything over to our table. After about 2 minutes our drinks arrived (my latte was basically an iced coffee). About 30 seconds later our "continental" breakfast arrived, what a joke. Half of a ham and cheese wrap, a stale croissant and a kids portion of porridge. Neither of us could eat the porridge as it was covered in nuts (I have a severe allergy). All in all, I would not pay more than £40 for a one night stay here and I will never opt for the breakfast. Incredibly dissatisfied"
"Great and friendly staff. However, rooms are super cold and not very clean. The hotel is VERY loud, don't expect any sleep :) Edit: ALSO expect endless spam over email, messages, what's app - I've unsubscribed three times but still keep getting contacted."
"The staff was lovely and helpful but that was unfortunately the only positive thing. We had a spacious room on the ground floor that was very cold. Radiators were turned off so it was uncomfortable to be in the room without wearing an extra sweatshirt. The room itself did not seem to have been thoroughly cleaned in a while. There was dust everywhere, the toilet lid had buildups and the shower was semi-clogged. We could easily hear other guests through the walls/ceiling and especially rowdy people in the hallway at 5am due to very poor door isolation. The icing on the cake was an exit light that, for some reason, was placed right above the bed and left the entire room illuminated in a green irritating light each night. I have never encountered this issue at any other stay in the past. All in all, it was unfortunately impossible to get a good night's sleep here and I would advise others to look elsewhere."
"Can't comment on the price as I was here as a part of a delegation. The hostel was lovely and very cosy - the private rooms had a decent bathroom with tall, frosted-glass windows and a rainfall shower. The hostel location was perfect for car and train travel - right next to Liverpool Central and opposite a multistorey car park with lots of places and excellent prices, as well as lots of food places and shops nearby - including a Tesco Express and Bold Street. The front desk was not always manned, which made for a slightly delayed check-out but all of the staff were lovely and kind. The bar staff was also kind for the small in-hostel bar. Cleaning staff also restocked towels and toilet paper in the day. The rooms were well sound-proofed against each other - never had a problem with noise apart from the street and city noise outside. Overall, a really lovely 2-night stay!"
