"I emailed A1 Travel regarding quotes for a family package holiday for 3 so we can get a good price. I emailed in very good detail with what we want for our holiday. I got a response from a member of staff with the words. We don't do package holidays. If that is your correspondence to my email, a member of the public then you should be trained in customer service support. Because that response is absolutely Appalling"
"Got jet airways booked through A1 unfortunately when in India airlines stop running .....A1 new what was happening but never had the courtesy to inform customers and left everyone to start themselves out ..baring in mind they are ATOL protected...5 months on and still waiting for a refund. "DO NOT USE THEM. Absolutely disgusting travel company. DO NOT USE THEM. We intended to fly to India in Oct 2016 but could not travel because of a tragic family death, namely a suicide. We provided a temporary death certificate in Oct but A1 Travel said that Air India needed the full death certificate with parents' names on it to confirm the family member was linked to us. We received the full death certificate in Jan 2017 and it does not list the parents' names as we were told. Having spent over £3000 in flights and done everything they asked for we have only just received a refund 2 weeks ago, minus a small charge which has not been explained despite me asking them to document what the charge is for. I have been dealing with Natasha. Absolutely useless. She has been handling the refund process and never calls back but says she will. These people are clowns who do not know the first thing about customer service. They are happy to take your money but returning it doesn't seem to be high on their list of priorities. Our situation has been extremely stressful and tragic and decent sales representatives that work for their customers would have achieved a quicker and more efficient result. Even though we hadn't received a refund full or partial in Oct last year, we went on to book further tickets through A1 Travel so that we could actually travel to India as planned which meant that they had taken roughly £7000 from us. We were placing a great deal of faith in them and yet our faith was torn up by their lack of service and willingness to go the extra mile. I was going to get in contact with Trading Standards and Citizens Advice had a refund not been posted out to us but as we have received nearly all of our money back I have decided to post this review and will never use them again and nor would I recommend them to anybody. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. DO NOT USE THEM."
"Cowboys of the travel industries, they either have no refund policy or you have to grovel like a dog and charge you £220 for cancellation fee. As they do not tell you the fees and procedures I thought I go on explain to all the potential customers to make sure you wear a dog collar when you go there , they love it"
