Reviews
"Absolutely appalling service from Wigan CAHMS. Children are treated as a case reference number. You can never get through on the phone and you do not get a call back when they say they will. Staff clearly suffer from compassion fatigue."
"It seems that CAMHS in general have no idea how to deal with Autistic and ADHD people. I consider the way Ince treated my friend's daughter to be abusive. I'm the one who had to diagnose her ADHD and guide her towards official diagnosis. They saw her at Ince and couldn't see what was under their noses. They thought that dragging her (literally kicking and screaming) away from her mum, locking her in the room and demanding that she look them in the eyes when eye contact makes her anxious was the best way to go with a seriously anxious early teen who (I have no doubt it will turn out) is also ADHD. There may even be autism there. I am autistic and ADHD and it takes one to know one. And while neither autism nor ADHD are mental health conditions MH services ought to be able to spot them. All they did was make her anxiety worse. If you can't keep clear of this place at least calmly stand your ground with them and don't allow them to push you around. Don't be thinking that they know best because I have serious doubts that they do. If it feels wrong then it probably is. CAMHS? More like HARMS (Highly Aggressive Repellent Malignant Services). Zero stars, but that option isn't available."
"I have reported theses to the Wigan health services they don't care bean ringing nearly every day since August and it's we call you back every time"
"Shocking- for a body that is supposed to help children's welfare, well done in doing the exact opposite. No appointments, nobody answering calls..."
"Since my first worker left I've had next to no support and the one appointment I had since him I was just made to feel worse with how I was treated. They have offered very little help for some time now."
