Reviews of Royal Lancaster Infirmary
"Went in with palpitations. Numbness in my arm and tight chest. Nurse who took my bloods was rough left a bruise that made my arm stiff. They could not give me any answers to what was wrong only did ECG and blood test when they should be doing X-rays and echocardiograms. Doctor was dismissive and degrading and suggested I was mental"
"The children's A&E dept were very quick at dealing with my daughter. We then got taken round to ward 32 (children's ward) the nurses and doctors were brilliant and very informative. Special shout out to Stacey she was fabulous thank you all."
"Having been taken in early Saturday morning to A and E, it was very quiet and I was sorted out straight away and taken up to AMU. I have to say my experience was superb the team couldn't have looked after me any better. Shout out to Stacie, Cat, Mary, and Tom who looked after us so well on our little ward. They were a joy to be with. I came out feeling so much better and a big part of this was down to the wonderful team. Thanks all again, and Mr Sunak give these amazing people a wage rise soon!"
"Just been on the maternity ward for 9 days. Through difficult times the staff from the delivery suite, Neonatal and ward 17 have been absolutely fantastic. These women deserve all the respect in the world. The pay they get does not reflect on how hard they actually work. Credit to them for for everything they do. Thank you for bringing our little Reggie through the rough times and into our lives. Your work, care and compassion will never be forgotten."
"Terrible service from Becky a triage nurse at Lancaster hospital at 13:30 on 15/9/22 she was very rude and wouldn't even take the time to listen to my concerns regarding my infected leg which Is red raw, swollen 3 times the size from top to bottom and my knee started weeping. I'm panicking it could be a blood clot, MRSA or sepsis and she wouldn't even take a look and told me to go to a walking centre over 10miles away. I would understand if the clinic was busy but it was quiet. I dread to think how the general public are treated after what I experienced today. As a former employee at Manchester Royal Infirmary I am absolutely disgusted at this subpar service this would never happen at the MRI especially not to a staff member."
