Reviews of Liverpool Women's Hospital
"My wife had a full hysterotomy here in December, her surgeon Mr Peru was AMAZING, took the time to explain everything that he was going to do. He was kind, thoughtful, respectful and gentle, he even fixed her little hernia to save her going back later. My wife and I can't thank him enough for is help keeping my wife alive. One of life's true gentlemen. Anyone who has him as there surgeon should feel very safe in his hands, my wife did. And I have to thank all the staff on the gynaecology ward from the nurses to the cleaners all dedicated to there patients in their care nothing was to much for them again AMAZING. THANK YOU"
"Been with my wife for a image scan, and everything was perfect , staff very kind and very nice building."
"I had an emergency surgery at Liverpool Women's Hospital last Friday. From the moment I set foot in the hospital until I left every person I met was competent and kind. I was terrified, had severe stomach pains and this affection and care made my stay less stressful. I really appreciated it. Having an operation is something big, something you will remember forever. I've lived in Liverpool for a year but I'm Italian so having an operation in a foreign country is not easy. You have a thousand doubts and you're terrified that something will go wrong. All the medical staff did everything they could to make me feel cared for and not forgotten. I had a very clean private room, they served me food and drink, stockings, medicines, and answered all my doubts and questions with great care and gentleness. I will never forget what all the people at the hospital did for me, we are talking about 50 people and each one was wonderful."
"Shocking this has gone downhill!! Admitted for a laparoscopy 7.30 am you have to be there by, 9 of us all waiting in a waiting room to have operations , in chairs yes chairs and not on a ward. I waited 5 hours to get Laparoscopy felt very rushed the anesthetiser was not very compassionate just wanted to get you under quickly, you get wheeled into recovery ward, do quick obs give you sandwich, lots of drink then say go the toilet soon as you you open bladder they want you dressed and out!! Don’t even get your consultant come round to give you info ,the nurse gives you it with a letter, in recovery for less that an hour no after care whatsoever take paracetamol that’s it, someone is supposed to pick you up they say but I got a taxi home they were fine with this. Follow up in 2 months 5 years ago it was completely different!! it’s like a cattle market literally."
"The help and support from all the midwives at the Liverpool's Women's hospital was fantastic. Both myself and my partner were astonished at how friendly, knowledgeable and professional all the staff were. They really made what was a very difficult Labour, as stress free as possible. Thanks - Luke & Becci."
