"We had to pull out of a purchase of a bungalow about a year ago because of your incompetence, taking so long, refusing to respond to phone calls etc, £250 + vat for a simple indemnity policy, as opposed to other solicitors who told us they would charge £90 + vat. we paid our deposit and heard no more than 12 months later we get a bill for the full amount plus the indemnity we don't need (normal solicitors purchase indemnities on exchange but not these clowns).it's taken 12 months to send a bill, nearly as long as it took us to get hold of a solicitor to discuss our purchase. Worst solicitors we have ever come across. DO NOT INSTRUCT THEM. EDIT: Their unprofessional and incorrect reply was "we couldn't afford the mortgage", we purchased a house £50,000 more than the offer we had accepted on the bungalow so it couldn't be further from the truth. And we used a solicitors that only took 3 months, shows how long they took, they have stated themselves they took 7 months and weren't close to completing the purchase."

"Two years ago we visited Bank in Bromsgrove with a view to purchasing my mother’s leasehold from the freeholder. We met Sobea. The ball was in motion. We heard nothing after paying the deposit. The freeholder pestered us and Bank. We contacted Bank, answered usually by an irritated young woman. Eventually we received the paperwork, signed and returned it. The freeholder was very happy with his big fat cheque. However, we still don’t know whether Mom owns the freehold and after many phone calls to Bank asking for paperwork proving the freehold is now Mom’s and constantly being told HM Land Registry are on a ‘go slow’ due to the pandemic, we have given up asking. So is the freehold hers or has she just blown nearly £8,000? I will never use this company again and would never recommend it. The lack of communication is appalling! Two years on and we have nothing to show for it!"

"Divorce and house sale. Super polite with professional advice and good recommendations for best next steps etc. BUT......Attention to detail, thoroughness and response times poor with signed documents handed in to a person in branch clearly lost as they asked for them again 1 week later electronically. Communication between departments, other solicitors and myself was at best average throughout the whole case. i must of identified and highlighted half a dozen mistakes made by bank which delayed the process and cost me a lot more money due to increased communication between all parties involved. Sometimes waited over 3 weeks for a reply to a quick one line follow up e-mail and it felt as if they were down by 50% staff but continuously told they had no staffing problems. If i hadn't baby sat the whole case from start to finish, highlighting problems, ie admin mistakes, oversights,issues with not receiving documents and court delays not picked up due to lack of follow up in a reasonable timescale, it could of taken years. In addition, errors from them not checking documents correctly meant i lost out on money and on my final bill i was even sent 2 invoices which i had never been sent to me from 9 months prior because they weren't on top of things, not impressed to see these suddenly appear. I couldn't wait for the the case to completed, the stress caused was unnecessary. Sorry i cant give more than 2 stars but i feel i'm been generous giving that. GOOD LUCK!"

"Banks solicitors in Bromsgrove were recommended to us by Bromsgrove Citizens Advice in January 2021 and I have to say it has been an excellent recommendation. Our court case has been long and drawn out but their attention to detail has been over and above all expectations. We were assigned a solicitor from the very beginning who was tentative and supportive and provided us with manageable budgeting costs and monthly invoices which has showed a breakdown of work carried out which has really helped to see what you are paying for. I have used other solicitors before but I have never had, and I'm sure others haven't had monthly statements clearly setting out figures and costs.. Unlike most solicitors Banks also kept their emails short, precise and phone calls to a minimum to keep our costs down and once they had all the information they needed only liaised if they really had to. They really do just get on with the job which is so refreshing. I wish to thank Sobea and her team for their meticulous service. Customer service is commendable and legal knowledge supportive. They offer good quality, are responsive, professional and offer good value and we highly recommend their services to anyone looking for good lawyers. We got all our costs back which goes to show what a good lawyer can do and We would not have had such a successful outcome without them on board."

"After getting some pretty expensive conveyancing quotes I called Banks. Their pricing is very competitive and they got my business. I have to say after previously using a couple of other well know local solicitors and being far from impressed, I did not expect much more. How wrong was I. My chap, Jamie Callaghan was 'only' a trainee solicitor but his professional conduct and communication were first rate. I could not fault the service supplied. Emails and calls responded to instantly. I knew exactly what was going on and never had to chase. So good I recommended to my estate agent who was equally impressed. We will definitely use Banks in the future and will recommend to all. Thank you."
