Reviews of Garden Museum
"Everyone working at the museum itself was super nice to us, very friendly and helpful. There’s so much to see on their permanent exhibition, but the Freud part was a very nice extra to it. Enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back. Go up the tower if you can, such a nice view. Student and ArtPass discounts. (Nice coffee at the café)"
"A wonderful space. I'm not even someone especially fascinated by gardens as such but the museum presented this history in such an engaging way that I was completely drawn in by its history and displays. Some very witty displays with Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men from my childhood, and some rather scary looking gnomes too. Don't worry, they aren't real (although I'm certain one turned round to look at me at one point!) I also recommend climbing up 131 steps to the top of the Garden Museum's medieval tower if your legs can take you, as the view is magnificent, looking out across The Thames over Parliament and beyond. Was able to see everything within 75 mins which was perfect too!"
"The museum is located in a church, and therefore is interesting by its history and interior design. Inspires to grow and tender to plants both - children and adults. Hosts thematic competitions and a cafe, the gift shop is naturally full of gardening books and fancy tools. Absolutely worthwhile. Was surprised by the entrance ticket, though."
"This is attached to Lambeth Palace, right on the river by Lambeth Bridge. I didn't go in the museum as I didn't have time to justify the £12 entry fee. But I'll be back when I've got the time to do it justice. I popped into the cafe for a coffee, though. Friendly staff. Attractive display of homemade-looking cakes and biscuits. Lovely setting to linger, with a view of a gorgeous leafy courtyard garden with plants and tombs. Nice outdoor area by the café for sunny days."
