"We had a really enjoyable experience at the Elgar with one of the best 3 courses we've ever had.Not only the food but the service was first class. We were made to feel welcome without being looked down on.Thats important to me as London can be a bit overwhelming.Special mention to our waiter Amine who looked after us.Will be returning again the next time we are at the Albert Hall."
"I have long since been a fan of the Royal Albert Hall, and have dined and enjoyed the wonderful hall. I was extremely disappointed by our visit this Sunday. I booked lunch for five, (one of us a child). We had two starters, each had a main and had four desserts. Only water to drink. Service was appalling. They had no clue what was going on. We have to ask continually to be served and then we had to rush the dessert as they didn't bother to take our order in time. They are massively understaffed. I appreciate that this is an issue across the board, but when the meal came to over £250, I would expect the hall to be paying their staff a proper wage so that we can enjoy our food. The food was OK, but the quality was lacking. The burgers were not freshly made and looked like they came out of a pre-made packet. Overall I was extremely disappointed"
"We had dinner at the Elgar ahead of the Christmas Carols at the Hall. It was an ideal pre-show destination, with a nice selection of food, attentive staff and reasonably cooked food. Its not cheap but it was a great start to the night’s entertainment."
"Delicious and imaginative food served promptly. We could have ordered the dessert for the intermission."
"A delightfully relaxed dining experience, next to 'Big Red' the unique grand piano paired by Elton John. Menu has a wide offering, each of exceptional quality. Service was first class - nothing rushed or delayed. Courteous and helpful. What a treat!"
