Reviews of Thames Food and Wine - Off Licence Convenience Store
"Opens late on a Sunday when everywhere else has shut. Has virtually everything you need."
"What an rude, ignorant man behind the counter! I was aiming to collect a parcel (click +collect) He would not accept the ref: number from Hermes and so would not hand over my package, despite the fact that there was a proof of delivery picture! Unfortunately, I will have to go back again tomorrow to try and retrieve it. I suspect he must have lost many customers due to his extreme unpleasantness"
"I share a similar experience to the other collect+ customer, someone needs to teach this man basic manners such as please and thank you. I gave him another chance in case he was having an off day but nothing had changed."
"Not sure if the guy working behind the counter is the owner or an employee, but either way, he's nasty and a complete idiot. I went to send a parcel via collect+ service only to be met with obnoxiousness, anger and rudeness. He struggled to scan my parcel as it was quite heavy and bulky, when I tried to help he started shouting at me to leave it alone. He then cursed at having to run the collect+ service saying how it's such a pain, continued shouting at me and proceeded to throw my parcel on the floor! He had no idea what was in it! If this wasn't a public review, I'd call him a lot more than an idiot! Avoid this place at all costs!!!"
"Shocking, for a small town high street if anything goes wrong they actually blamed me for 'breaking it'. Brought 2 kids fishing nets for the extortionate price of £2.49 (they are £1 at Squires) they both broke within 15 mins. Took them back he told me we were catching big fish and I broke it myself? Unbelieveable especially as I said I wanted to upgrade to 2 better quality nets. Now I will make a conscious effort to never return. (As he followed me out of the store and told me to take the 2 broken nets with me, wow, such service). Avoid!"
