"On 27/10/2020 I visited this shop to buy some fruits and traditional romanian food. Being disabled I asked the lady behind the counter to assist me and she very kindly did, picking up the items I was pointing to. So I went home and put the food in the fridge. Next day I opened the package of the item called " Carnati de bere" ( beer sausages) and a bad smelling liquid came out. Only then I checked use by date (expira la) and I was shocked to see that the date was 23/10/2020. So they sold me a food item 4 days after the expiry date. Please note that this sausages were labeled as "fiert si afumat" ( boiled and smoked) so in teory safe to eat without extracooking. When I went back to the shop, to return the item and get a refund the girl behind the counter( different one) refused to do so asking me to come on a different day to talk to the girl that initially sold me the items, unacceptable in my situation. She explained that she does not have time to check all the items. She suggested I make a too big fuss about it . Only when I told her that I will call Brent Council and Food Standard agency, she called her boss , who after long explanations instructed her to refund me. Please note that on 28/10/2020 , they were still displaying beer sausages expired on 23/10/2020. Now I am not saying that all the items are bad quality but if you do not want to suffer food poisoning please double check the use by date of the food you buy from this shop."
